Fantastic stay at an amazing hotel. I've always liked the Mercure brand hotels whenever I travel. The room is always clean, comfortable with functional spaces. Unlike other hotels with similar size, this one is not loud and it doesn't feel like you are suffocating in the room. I will come back! Also the staff at this location is extremely polite and friendly! 10/10!

The Lobby smelt like musty old man colone the entire time we stayed. The toliets bidet wasnt working and we had to use it manually without pessure adjustments and the toilet didnt flush if the shower was in use. The room, even though labled superior was tiny! Not enough room to unpack suitcases. Very cramped and small. Location was good.

We used this hotel as a base for our stay in Seoul. We were made very welcome at check in by Lyn Woo and asked if there was anything they could do for us. Nice hotel in a good location with access to transport very easy.

I stayed wrongly thinking that it has a swimming pool because Google map exhibit photo of a pool which was incorrect. Excellent location Towel felt dirty and found a live centipede in the room The staffs were polite and sincere but hotel needs renovation.

I've stayed in Mercure Seoul Hongdae last year and this time I stayed for 5 nights with family friends.I like this hotel because of the great location in Hongdae. The bed is comfortable and room is clean. Everything is great here. We will come back again here again if we stay in Seoul.

Good spot for Hongdae, far from other sites

If you want to be in the Hongdae region of Seoul, this hotel is incredibly well positioned. It is right in the middle of the central area there that is always busy, with all the activity just a block away. That said, if you are trying to see a lot of the different areas of the city, Hongdae is a bit out of the way, and you will spend a lot of time in transport going to see other sites. Seoul is geographically massive. As far as the hotel goes, we thought it was pretty good. The rooms were largely comfortable, but it was very hot outside and the AC had a guard on it that kept us from lowering it to the temperature we preferred. That was coupled with very warm blankets that didn’t fit the season, though the beds and pillows were comfortable. The rooms were relatively spacious, however, and the bathrooms were really nice. Plus, our room had a great view. We had mixed opinions among the five of us on the breakfast – some thought it was really good, others didn’t. It varied a lot day-to-day and whether you hit at a time that the food had been refreshed, which was not frequent enough. That said x they did have a few really good dishes. My one wish was that they had a real concierge who could help guide activity and restaurant selection more. I asked two different staff for advice, and both just told me they didn’t live anywhere nearby so couldn’t help me out. It would’ve been really helpful to have someone there with more knowledge along those lines.

Service at this hotel is nothing short of superb. Hotel staff helped me find places to eat, order taxis for me, even helped me to order some food for delivery! Of course, I paid for it, haha! I had luggage that was delayed to a flight that would arrive the next day and they took care of everything while I slept for an early train ride to Busan. Had to go out to buy some clothes cause of the missing luggage but there is no shortage of places to shop nearby. Food options nearby are great too, even if you eat halal. Highly would recommend this hotel again.

The breakfast is totally disaster! Almost all food is served cold, very less options, coffee is just a coloured water. The breakfast should close at 10:00am but no refill at 9:30am so you look at the counter just like food waste. I stay for 4 night, try 2nd morning and we decided to give up. The Breaksat was charge at special 19,x00w per person and we waste that. Hotel location is good, stay there is fine but DON‘T book and pay extra for the breakfast!
