Definitely worth the stay at the lodge because it takes about an hour to get into the park due to speed limit ranging 10 mph to 25 mph due to VERY curvy roads up and down a mountain. With staying at the lodge you’re within short driving distances to your destinations of where you want to visit in the park. Like the General Sherman Tree parking lot is only a 6 minute drive from the Lodge. So very convenient for us and the kids. The rooms are fine and worked for us but are outdated. But we’re not here for modern fancy rooms and such since we’re here to explore the beautiful breathtaking Sequoias, mountains, streams/falls and views. It works out since shoes get dirty fast. They have a restaurant here that does breakfast, lunch and dinner. Best to make a reservation for dinner which they mention when you check in. They also have a cute little gift shop that also has a small section of food like bread, peanut butter & jelly, ramen noodle packs/cups, personal cereal cups and even have half gallon milk in the fridge along with other things. But I would recommend stocking up at the store before entering the park because it’s pricey for each item here whereas the stores you’d get your moneys worth for the quantity. But again, it’s very nice to have for convenience incase anything happens or you forgot! Gift shop is only open 8am-8pm though. Overall definitely worth it and the staff is beyond helpful and friendly. We loved it and I would recommend if you’re here for a few days.

My family enjoyed our trip so much. We loved how convenient the lodge was for exploring the forest. We actually really enjoyed the walk to and from our room to the restaurant. The food was AMAZING for breakfast and dinner. Def recommend reservations for dinner on weekends. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room wasn’t the fanciest and our only complaint would be the shower. But not hardly worth noting! 100/10 recommend staying here!

Great location inside Sequoia National Park. This lodge is a great place for a family vacation or romantic getaway. Many room options and hiking areas around. Highly recommend it during the winter! Beautiful scenery with the snow.

This location in Sequoia National Park is fabulous, but the lodge itself was mediocre. Some refinements in decor would make it seem more like a national park lodge rather than just a motel along an interstate highway. The residential rooms were separated from the main lodge building by a walk of about ten minutes. This was a disconcerting and disappointing factor in our experience at the lodge.

Fantastic national park experience. Late check in was easy..... But nothing open after 9pm. No food. No alcohol. Nada. A must to plan ahead if arriving late. Easy once you know late checkin is ok
