Received an email the evening before our trip, directly from the resort, that had our arrival was listed as 2 days away, rather than 1 day. I spoke with Expedia and they called the resort to confirm the original dates. Expedia transferred me to another department and they also called the resort. Expedia told me the hotel made a mistake and that everything would be okay for check in the next day. When we arrived the next day to check in, they had no room reserved for us until the following day. Amanda at the front desk was very polite and worked to get the situation remedied, which she did. The resort told us Expedia made a mistake with the dates they sent, Expedia told us the resort made the mistake. Not sure how to get to the bottom of it, but would appreciate an audit trail to find out. The remainder of our stay was not as eventful. My largest gripe was that the large sliding glass doors had moisture damage and therefore appeared “cloudy”. That really detracted from the oceanfront view from inside the room. All the staff were quite friendly.

This was a beautiful hotel and our family had a great time. They have activities each night for the kids, the hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly. Its convenient and super easy to navigate. Parking is easy, we had a great family vacation here.

The hotel has no beach but makes up for it by offering snorkeling access with stunning fish on a reef, free kayaks & paddle boards, delicious food, phenomenal staff, huge super hot hot-tub and large pool! This was our best vacation yet (and we travel a lot!)

It was our first time visiting the Cayman Islands. We had a great time and very little to be disgruntled about at the Marriot. Pros: The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. The food was great. The Sunday Brunch is pricey but wow, some of the best food I've ever had. The location was excellent. I know a lot of reviewers are upset about the beach erosion. For me honestly, it did not bother me. You can just step off the deck area into the ocean. The pool and hot tub are appropriate size for the resort. Very minor Cons: The property looks worn and older in some places. The carpet, flooring, rooms etc. Not a huge deal considering how much tourist traffic they receive. The bike rental is cool, but they do not have any smaller kid bikes. They would not let my son ride the bikes because he was too small for safety. I get it, but kid bikes would be nice bonus. The Fitness Center had decent machines and free weights. There was no windows and the ceilings are low. It felt like I was working out in a basement or dungeon lol.

Loved starting here! The hotel was high end and very clean. It is located right on the water. The pool chairs overlook the pool and ocean. There is a burger/pizza type restaurant and bar that also overlooks the ocean. The hotel provides towels, sunscreen, snorkel equipment, go pro usage, bicycles, paddleboards and kayaks free of charge. There is great service at the pool (they set up towels on your chair & adjust umbrellas for you and also have poolside drink and food service) and there is Caribbean music playing. There were also lots of fun free events (s’mores, ice cream, wine tasting, sip & paint, etc). The hotel is right on the water & there are beautiful sunsets. There is no beach, but there are stairs into the water for swimming or snorkeling and there are ‘sea hammocks’ if you want to float in the water. We thought we would miss the beach, but didn’t at all. We spent a lot of our trip snorkeling and scuba diving, so we enjoyed laying by the pool in the afternoons. The rooms were very clean & maid service was excellent. The rooms have mini-fridges, but no microwave. The hotel has good (but expensive) food and is walkable to a few decent restaurants. There is free parking a well. It’s an easy drive to beaches where you can lounge, snorkel, scuba or swim with turtles. I believe there is also a free shuttle to seven mile beach. It’s a little pricey for drinks & food, but we loved our stay here!!!

The hotel was excellent, clean, and in a great location for dining options. Although the beach had eroded, the service level more than compensated for it. There were a lot of activities at the hotel, access to other beaches, and such a high level of service from the staff. Would definitely recommend!

LOTS of noise & construction. The restaurants & main lobby were shut off to guests for the better part of 2 days, for “private events”. The $60 a night resort fee buys you a cup of coffee if you wake up before 8:00am & a shuttle to the beach 2mi away. Being that the “beach front hotel” has no beach, you should not have to pay extra for a shuttle. Definitely felt ripped off. Not like any other “resort” that I’ve ever stayed at. I would say this hotel is average, at best. Worst Marriott experience to date. The room was pretty decent, however. Albeit, the balcony door didn’t lock.

We have been here about 5-6 times. Wonderful. The staff is great. Syd at the bar by the pool is amazing! Took care of us all day long. Ruth, what can you say about her. She remembers you and us so attentive and cares how you are doing. Get a massage from Rene! Truly the best!!
