What a wonderful lodge with spacious and well-appointed rooms including a kitchen. The location was perfect between downtown and the national park. Room was brand new with modern finishes. On site coffee truck had great morning breakfast options. We loved our stay here!

The property has such potential, the room is very nice and comfortable. There were no extras in the kitchen not even salt and pepper. There was a lot work still being on the site and is unsafe with the drop off where you park your vehicle and limited space for maneuvering.

It’s a new property the grounds around it still being renovated. There was a steep drop along the driveway just outside my unit. It was difficult to see when I arrived past midnight and any car could easily have toppled into the drop. Very dangerous. The unit was clean and comfortable but somehow lacked thoughtful planning. Eg though space was not lacking, there was only a microwave available and no stove. The heating was through an electric fireplace which was inefficient and slow in heating the room. So we were quite cold in the nights. In order to continue heating the room, we had to leave the heater on and it gave off a flickering light through the night that disturbed our sleep. The place would have been much better if more thought had been given while planning it.

Very nice stay at Spruce Lodge

Overall, the Spruce Lodge was very nice. The building we stayed in was new, with very nice furnishings and a full-size refrigerator and microwave, and the on-site coffee stand was very nice. The touchless check-in and check-out went perfectly, with no issues. The only issue we had was with the service. Over our 4-night stay, our room was not serviced once. I requested service from a person at the office, but the room was not serviced following that. Eventually, we had to chase down the housekeeping staff in another building and convince them to swap out our toiletries and towels. Overall, the stay was still nice and I would stay here again, however, if you are looking for daily servicing this may not be the place for you.

Easy access rooms. Room was very spacious and very comfortable bed and pillows. Quiet area but only couple minute drive into downtown Seward. Ideal for access to exit glacier. Great location. Staff was great to work with. Would stay again.
