I think as a new property it has potential.....but there was construction rubble and material piled up. It lacked signage like what room numbers for what buildings. The room was hot and we could hear noise above us. Beds were not comfortable.

No problems aside from lack of AC but that's most (maybe all) lodges here. And it's cool enough to where that's not a big deal. Otherwise, great stay!

Though we were super impressed by the modern outlook of the property, rooms felt super hot and stuffy since there were no A/C or air circulation especially during the hot summer day. It might have felt okay if it was not so hot. Room had some amenities like a big refrigerator and microwave but no toaster or tea.

Great place! The only comment that I have is that I was missing several things in the room the first day, like coffee, we didn’t have forks (besides one) and only two towels although we were traveling with a toddler. Besides that, it was nice.

We really enjoyed this property stay at the Spruce Lodge. It was incredibly efficient and easy to check into the room, no interaction with persons and we were comfortable being on our own timeline. Once we got in the room, we found it to be modern clean and convenient. You felt we had everything we needed for our stay… And the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and appliances that were useful. We had a studio to ourselves on the second floor and the stay was comfortable and quiet. We felt the property and surrounding were quiet and safe, parking our vehicle in the lot just below our room. We would definitely stay at this property again.

My husband and I stayed at Spruce Lodge in Seward on Monday, August 4th, and I wanted to share feedback on our experience. We arrived at 5:15 p.m., well after the 3:00 p.m. check-in time, but unfortunately our room had not yet been cleaned from the prior guests. While the front desk staff apologized and mentioned they were behind, no alternate room or accommodation was offered. This delay altered our plans for the evening, as we were unable to unload our stuff, change our clothes, and head out for the hike we had scheduled. When we returned at approximately 8:00 p.m. after going to dinner, the room was ready, and we appreciated that. However, we noticed several issues during our stay: • The property was hard to find and the signage was very small and hidden in trees. We had to drive past several times. • The thermostat was non-functional, and the room was quite warm, which lead to an uncomfortable night. • The Wi-Fi was extremely spotty, and for the most part, non-functional. • The pillows were unusually thick, which made sleeping difficult and caused neck discomfort and a headache the whole next day. I contacted the property about these issues and my messages were completely ignored. I would never stay here again, nor would I recommend to others a stay here.

Shower curtain smelled bad. The shampoo tubes were almost impossible to open! The entry to the room from the parking lot was not too convenient. The entry and exit from the room via electronic door lock was easy. The communications from the property was clear and helpful. The bed was very comfortable.
