I visited this hotel on 2019 during my first trip to China.
I was very impressed.
Sadly, it seems since then the hotel has been maintained on a budget and if it’s another 6 years until I return, I’d think twice and double check reviews as at its current rate, I’d be worried.
The room was just about acceptable as clean.
Hairs, stuff left behind from the previous guests and cigarette singed sheets were not great.
Not to mention that despite the hotel being non-smoking, my room smelled of smoke all 3 days.
I considered going in the pool when I saw the photos but took one look and thought better of it.
It didn’t give me a good clean vibe.
The airport shuttles are great but you have to have a flight time of 9:30am earliest to use them.
I think they only started at 7am which I can understand why, but lots of flights are underway by 9:30.
My flight was 8:20, which is quite usual for a Saturday, but no flexibility from the hotel on transfer times.
So I had to book a taxi.
The main benefit is proximity to Disney and the coaches were great.
The staff were just ok.
I think they were doing their job alright, but I didn’t really get the sense they’d go out of their way unless prompted.
Overall I think 3.5/5 is fair.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this hotels ratings gradually come down over time.
All the above said, I had a great 2 days at Disney and if you don’t use the hotels coach, the metro is about a 10 min walk and very cheap / easy.
It wouldn’t be hard to turn the hotel round.
