Excellent location in the national park. Brilliant outdoor hot spring at the hotel, with some smaller ones off in the forest. Suggest going mid-week in the fall when there are fewer people. Arrange for your meals on advance with the hotel. Definitely go for the evening set meal, which is fantastic. (And they are happy to adjust for your diet.)
If you are lucky, a fox will visit with you in the hotsprings.
Excellent, helpful staff.
The location is amazing, in the heart of world heritage Sheritoko; and the staff is unbelievably friendly; they would go all the way to pick us up at the various locations.
Most people went there with car, we did not have a car, but staff, particularly Nick, made sure our time was flawless serviced.
And the hot spring is so authentic, so beautifully surrounded by trees, and mountains.
And the food, is unbelievable.
And the room is better than the pictures showed.
Overall , 20 out of 10✌️
The hotel is in a great location for a peaceful and restful break. We had excellent service and the staff were very helpful even when we spoke no Japanese. There are no non-smoking rooms but the room we had was fine and was fresh. We really enjoyed our meals and the dining room is very nice. It is quite old-fashioned which we enjoyed.
Le Japon dans toute sa splendeur... Qualité du service exceptionnelle, sans parler des repas gargantuesques mais dignes d'un restaurant gastronomique. Le onsen est très reposant, bref, n'hésitez pas !
Old-style hotel in a unique location right in the heart of Shiretoko National Park. Perfect starting point to clim the Rausu mountain. The onsen is amazing as well as the food for dinner (a lot of local fishes / sea food). If you have a car, definitely worth to stay there!
