We love the Blue Gate and loved our stay. The only complaint is check in. We waited 20-25 minutes in the lobby and nobody was around. When finally the receptionist showed up, there was no apologies or nothing said about us waiting

This is our favorite place to stay in Shipshewana. They must have gotten new mattresses because they were very hard and not comfy like they usually are

My wife and I were going to stay there as part of our 51st anniversary celebration. We were so looking forward to spending the evening in such a nice but affordable place. In particular, we were going to enjoy the pool and sauna after supper and before bedtime. Unfortunately, the pool/sauce was closed for repairs and upkeep. There went 90 percent of the reason we picked that place. Fortunately we live close enough it was just as easy to go home and enjoy our own place. Now we'll see about getting the financial part straightened out.

We have stayed there several times. Love it there. Great location. Very Clean. Staff Friendly. The reason I didn't give five stars was we arrived on a Friday for two nights . On Saturday morning I woke up to take a shower no hot water. Called the front desk they said they had a full house to wZit about four hours. Went shopping came back six hours later no hot water. Called front desk all they said was they were sorry. So I paid over 200 a night and couldn't shower until I got home Sunday night. Unacceptable in my opinion. Manager never got on the phone with me. No compensation. When I pay over 200 a night I expect to shower

Amazing place and everything awesome except the mattress. I think it is original to the building. Very old and very uncomfortable.
