Awful experience
Check in was a huge pain because they didnt know how to use the system with hotels.com bookings. I was exhausted and had to wait way too long while they figured it out. The bed is super uncomfortable. The double bed queen room doesnt have a door to the second bedroom for some weird reason and the absolute worst part of the trip was the text at 7:30am from the hotel asking when we would be checking out. THIS IS WILDLY INNAPROPRIATE. If I have the room until 11 then I will keep it until 11 but since I didn't sleep the night before because of the bed, I was furious that they texted me in the morning, on a Sunday to see when I was leaving. I wont recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed there to be close to the Blue Gate Theatre. We were able to walk to the venue. But, the shower handle needed to be jiggled to start. I called to front desk and they told me how to start the shower. If you know this is a problem why don't you fix it? It was fairly noisy so it was hard to sleep. The room cost was about the same as one of the other nicer hotels in Shipshewana and surrounding area.

Smelly and outdated
The pictures of the hotel do not match what it looks like, a bit outdated. There was barely enough hot water for 1 shower, the room smelled of cleaning chemicals and the only way for it to not be too strong was to keep the bathroom door closed. Carpet looked old, heater started making noises on our second night. Breakfast the first day was awful, eggs were rubbery and sausage did not look cooked. The second morning looked a bit better but I had already bought something to have after the experience of the first morning.

We weren't aware this was a pet friendly hotel and when I complained about a yippie dog barking non stop for over an hour the mgr said it says it's per friendly on the website! I don't mind a well behaved in dog, however this was not acceptable!! I do think the people left the animal in the room while they were gone. Thank goodness for ear plugs to sleep with. Next time I'll check at the time I make a reservation so I don't stay at this type of hotel

We had a good stay. It’s pretty out dated and definitely needs work. Our room had a stain all the way across the ceiling from an apparent leak, it could really use updated paint and furniture. People were friendly.
