TV remote was not working. The lady at checkin had said, "If you need anything, I will be here until 10pm." I took the remote to her and she changed the batteries. She also walked to the room to make sure it was working. It wasn't! She took the remote and returned with one that did. Also, the room was lovely, very clean and comfortable. The TV helped me fall asleep.

This little roadside inn punches way above its weight. It's kept immaculately clean; we found fancy Elemis shampoo and shower gel; towels were fluffy. In the courtyard, a gas fire provided warmth and cheer in the desert night. And the woman checking us in was super nice. Shoshone is a tiny 13-person town on the highway, but if you want to break up your journey to/from Death Valley it's a good choice. Between the Shoshone inn and the Crowbar saloon for food (the fries are spectacular!) you'll be served well.

The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The staff is always wonderful. The outside looks like an old-fashioned motor in but inside is updated. The little town is delightful. You can walk to everything. I hope to stay there many more times.

The only hotel in a very small town so I wasn't expecting much. I was very pleasantly surprised. From the outside it is clearly an older hotel but the room was very spacious, well appointed, and clean. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy and shower had great pressure.

We did not stay, we arrived before check in time. Had a look round and there was no pool to be seen, after talking to one of the local we were told that the pool was about 400 yds up the road from the accommodation and was being rebuilt. As we intended to spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool there was very little point in stopping here for the night, so we moved on.

My 3rd stay here and it's one of the best places I've ever stayed. Spotless rooms, spa-like shower, comfortable bed, everything you need. The owner clearly takes great pride in her motel. Light breakfast options in the communal kitchen (bagels, yoghurt, coffee, fruit, tea kettle). Needed earplugs at night because of the AC but otherwise a perfect stay. Dinner across the road at the Crowbar (the rainbow trout is particularly good). Be sure to spend time around the firepit after dark and enjoy the peace and quiet. I love this place, and look forward to visiting again.

The staff was friendly, the property was clean and quiet. The continental breakfast was good however the staff hadn’t informed us of it- instead we happened upon it. The room was lovely and the bathroom was wonderful.

Clean and comfortable / No internet

Clean, comfortable, non-smoking, and convenient location. One star off is mainly due to no internet service from the room. Considering no service in the entire area in addition to the cost of the room, no internet service from the room was very noticeable. I sat outside of office instead to update driving maps.

Don't judge this book by its cover! My room was fresh and lovely, the bath sparkling and updated. King bed was comfortable, fridge micro and coffee clean and worked great. Spacious with couch and wardrobe. Enjoyed walking trails from the hotel.

Shoshone Inn - shines above the rest!

Given that there are very few options in the area, this one shines above the rest given its connection (the town is literally owned by the Inn owner) to the general store, museum and Cross bar Cafe and Salon.

Wonderful hotel to stay!

Your stay was wonderful! The room was clean and comfortable. We just stayed only 1 night but there are a couple of trails around the hotel. We had a great relaxing time to the pool.
