The high Shreve of the Port
I made the reservation quickly based on reviews without being fully aware it was a b&b. I loved it. John and his dogs were charming and so kind. It was comfortable, peaceful, and beautiful...exactly what you'd hope for and Southern hospitality at its finest. Breakfast was amazing. Friendly fellow travelers. I can't say enough good things. It was worth every penny and then some. I'd come back in a second if the opportunity prevents itself to return to Shreveport.

The grounds surrounding the property were immaculate & well cared for. No lack of attention to detail inside or out. The homes are beautiful & well cared for. Character & Charm of French Quarter was evident throughout the residences & surrounding grounds. Pool surrounded by beautiful massive live oaks was a great relaxed environment in the evenings. Looked forward to breakfast each morning & staff was eager to accommodate. A great find & will recommend to others.

Room was very hot on my arrival. My room was a converted attic which had 1wall hot to touch. The room finally cooled down after a few hours. Room shouldn’t be used on very hot days. Also, had no hot water for the night of and next day.

Hidden treasure…
This lovely oasis is in the midst of the original Shreveport. Charming and hospitable are the words I would use to describe the inn. Give it a try the next time you move through the Shreveport area.

When I arrived at this hotel, the room was dark, cramped, and had limited technology available and not what I had originally viewed online. When I told them that the room was not adequate and that I would not be able to stay, they refused to refund even part of the cost. I offered to pay for the first night, even though I did not stay there, they refused this offer as well. Do not expect to get what you see online. Very disappointed that they were so difficult to work with.

This is where I stay when I come to Shreveport, I come for work. The rooms are beyond comfortable and clean. It's such a safe quiet place to land. The owner, John, is fantastic...he will send you off to start your day with the most amazing breakfast. A wonderful experience each and every time.

Meet needs cheerfully! Many special areas with coffee, drinks, snacks. Room comfortable & spacious. Our bathroom had a large hot tub. Note some rooms up stairs & hot tub large step over to get in shower so be sure to let them know what accommodations U need. They are willing & want U to be comfortable. Very interesting decor & unique. So fun! Touring house a treat. Staff so friendly. Special the guests were showing Sothern hospitality! Nice filling breakfast.

This is easily my favorite bed and breakfast in the Shreveport area. John is a professional chef and prepares an excellent breakfast that is included in the stay. Yesterday morning, we were served blueberry pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes and melon wrapped in prosciutto. Coffee, tea, juice and wine are always complimentary. As an added bonus, his bed and breakfast is filled with numerous bowls containing candies, cookies, energy bars and other snacks, all complimentary. John is also a fount of knowledge about Shreveport history and an excellent story teller. All in all, this is a can’t miss place to stay in Shreveport.

Great Place to Stay
The A/C was cold in our room, apparently a single thermostat controlling the lower floor. But, we made do, and enjoyed our stay. Staff was very responsive and friendly. Parking was tight, but doable.
