Perfect Prince Rupert Hotel

From the time we stepped inside the hotel to the day we left we couldn’t have been more pleased and so happy with our stay. We had an upgrade to the Mansion and wow what an upgrade! It was absolutely marvellous. The Manager ‘Charlie’ was amazing, so knowledgeable about the history of the hotel and area. The staff were amazing the bar and restaurant were great. Can’t wait to go back.

I was in the older part. I had a suite for the price of a double room, which was good, but the room needs a bit of TLC, The water took a long time to run hot, but when it arrived there was plenty. Staff excellent.

I love the area surrounding the Prince Rupert! I have visited Shrewsbury many times but this was my first stay here. I highly recommend the Prince Rupert. You are welcomed warmly by the staff. The sherry was such a treat! It is clean, inviting, and wonderfully historic. I can't wait to visit again!

Stunning hotel,fab location and such amazing staff

What a beautiful hotel, lovely Sherry on arrival (thank you) and such warm and welcoming wonderful staff who were faultless and so kind. Such a comfortable bed and lovely room. Could have been cleaner in places but beds spotless. Lovely bathroom. Breakfast was delish, felt really spoilt with the choice. Only negative is that we didn’t get to sleep until 4am as so much noise from room above and room adjacent. So next time I will bring ear plugs! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Staff great, property is looking a little tiered, generally ok for a short break. A bit of a pain for the parking at weekends when the main road is closed until 4 pm (Not the hotel’s fault) I am sure that the hotel are not best pleased either!

Great location and wonderful staff. Furniture in the room needs replacing. Mattress very uncomfortable and you rolled into the middle. Nice breakfast with efficient service. The parking directions could do with being shared prior the stay as it is a few minutes walk away from the hotel.

All the staff were friendly and welcoming which we loved. The hotel is centrally located but in a very quite position. At breakfast there was a good choice and brilliant service. Our only negative is that it is a little dated but as it is well maintained and very clean we would absolutely stay here again.
