Sidi Bou Said Vacation Packages

If you want to stay in a central location, this one fits the bill. It is an older hotel with no elevator and overpriced for what was provided. From the moment we walked in, we had several issues...we waited 10-15 min just to be able to get into our room and it was after check-in time when we arrived. Then we got to the room after a very hot trip from Tunis and wanted to shower, but there were no towels in our room. We called down and they told us they would be brought up soon. We had to call again and waited over an hour to receive towels which should should have been a basic thing in the room. We also had no blow dryer provided and apparently there was only one in the whole hotel, but two days later they bought some new ones. We also had to ask for more toilet paper and our rooms were never cleaned over three nights. There was also no water or basic bathroom toiletries provided in the rooms which seems crazy to me at $100 a night. Staff, particularly the women, were none too friendly or helpful. There was also a definite language barrier, so don't expect English. The highlight was the breakfast that was included. Was disappointed all around.

amazing location, most staff are really nice, plenty of food verity only when things dont go to plan do staff strugle to get things done. we had aircon leak though out the stay

When we first got there, the checking in was absolute mess. No order, people pushing to get up to the counter. When there, they ignored you until I had to forcefully say, hey I am here. And the stench in the room was awful. I had a hard time sleeping. I would wake up almost gagging. Out of my 3 weeks in Turkey and Tunisia, this was the most negative situation I had. Now having said that, the place was beautiful and the food was good. So gave it 3 out of 5.

Very Disappointing Stay at El Mouradi Gammarth! Our experience was absolutely unacceptable. Upon arrival, the woman at check-in was incredibly rude. Our suite was extremely hot and unclean. We ordered room service, and although the meal was good, multiple cockroaches began emerging around the mirrors. This was disgusting and completely unacceptable. The suite had two televisions, but only one worked. The 2nd remote had no batteries, and the bathroom's combined shampoo and body wash dispenser was completely empty. We requested another room but were moved next door to the room we had just left. We reluctantly stayed the night. At checkout, the same rude employee was present. No apology was offered, and nobody acknowledged the unacceptable room conditions. To make matters worse, as we were leaving, a security guard stopped us and we had to reenter the hotel over an allegedly uncharged candy bar. After all the issues we experienced, this was an insulting and disgraceful way to end our stay. The audacity to confront a guest over a candy bar while ignoring the hotel's own failures is unbelievable. Basic cleanliness, functioning amenities, courtesy, and professional customer service should be the bare minimum. Traveling abroad, we expected hospitality, not disrespect. El Mouradi Gammarth failed on multiple levels, and management showed no concern for our experience. I will share this review across multiple platforms to warn other travelers. Save your money and choose another hotel!

The staff were wonderful and went above and beyond, at one point even helping us dry laundry we'd been drying in our room. We also enjoyed the breakfast on offer each morning
