The room price is very high because it's very small, only suitable for one person, and the bathroom is shared between 8 rooms. For that price, you could pay for a higher-rated hotel.

I hadn’t stayed at a spot like this before, but I found the unique experience suited me well! I really enjoyed my stay at The Block. I booked a twin bed in the male-only 8-bed room and it was great! Super clean, comfortable bed, well kept common areas and bathroom. The bar was especially superb. Struck up a great convo with the bartender and talked hockey for hours. I didn’t need to use the community kitchen or other facilities, but they appeared to be just as good as everything else. I highly recommend The Block if you’re looking for a unique experience at a very affordable rate. 5 stars isn’t enough!!

Fit the bill. Needed to spend a night in the Dillon/Silverthorne area. The bar area was great; got to watch a football game and drink a beer. The room was clean, had a space heater and a mini-split AC unit. The room was tiny but had all the required amenities; bed, shower and toilet.
