The hotel is a little shabby but what sets it apart from other flashier hotels is the staff service in the Executive Club Lounge. Having cold non alcoholic beverages available during the day was always welcome after coming in from the heat. In the evening alcohol - wines and spirits are served between 6 to 8 pm. Different warm dishes eg prawn cutlets, chicken skewers, curry puffs together with cheese and biscuits, savoury nibbles and cakes were also supplied. What the hotel lacks in ambience however is completely overshadowed by the amazing friendly staff in the Executive Club. Agnes, Ray, Ivy, Ralph, Mei, and Desmond were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms are clean, internet was fast and the view across the bay magnificent. The pool area lacked charm and the water was freezing. A spa would have been a welcome addition. Would I stay here again? Most definitely.

We had an enjoyable four night stay. The hotel is ideally located close to Clarke Key with two MRT stations within easy walking distance. The decoration of the hotel is just a little drab in the corridors and landings but our room was large, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All of our requests were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The breakfast was particularly good and great value for money - setting us up for the day’s exploring. We would recommend this hotel to anybody but especially to families as their family rooms contain many extras such as a microwave, freezer, sink and dishes.

Excellent clean hotel. Would highly recommend it. Excellent location, close to MRT, shopping complexes and lots of eateries. Helpful polite staff too. We had a good view of Singapore city on the 18th floor .

Great Location and Good $/Value
This hotel is in decline. It needs removations. The flooring in the hall ways is freyed carpet that doesn't match. The room isn't bad, its clean. good bedding. No maid service unless you stay more than three days. They pull this whole self serve eco-friendly thing but it came off as cost cutting measures This hotel is rated as a 4 star its not its closer to a two maybe three star. But that being said a true 4 star in Singapore would run you 2-3x what you are paying here, It has an amazing location. Riight next to Chinatown and the MRT. Over all $/Value relationship is good for this hotel even though its dated.
