This is a community based budget hotel, but they do a great job of making the stay pleasant. Unfortunately, there was construction going on during my stay that made for unpleasant noise if you were around during the day. Other than that, the staff were great and I liked the area a lot.

LYF Bugis is strategically located between two MRT station, Bencoolen and Bugis. It is in the middle of lots of food courts and cultural places. The size of the room is a little packed but for the price and location, it is considered good for value. Due to the size, the bathroom has the tendancy to flood if the shower is turned on to the maximum. For those who are planning to get to the hotel by taxi, it does not have a big drive in loby like most hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. During our stay, it was raining for two days and we did not have any umbrella. The staff borrowed us an umbrella which makes out stay easy, without needed to buy and throw away an umbrella. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here in LYF and would recommend this hotel.

Overrated (not a hotel)

This is not a 4 star hotel as rated not even 3 stars. This is like a semi backpackers hostel. Room layout is long and narrow. Share fridge on common area, surprised. Very likely it was converted from commercial building. Wet shower area as no dedicated shower box. TV is steaming from your device only, such a stupid idea. Good thing is located very centrally in town, walking distance to Bugis Junction
