Cleaning staff and Door staff were lovely and very helpful. Reception staff were unwelcoming - especially after arriving after a very long flight. Staff in breakfast restaurant were also very formal and official. Not very friendly. The hotel was nice. Breakfast was chaotic and not very relaxing.

This could be the best location in Singapore to stay. Rooms are wonderful, upgrades and service beyond what could be imagined. This is 5 star all the way. Also, enjoy the restaurant for breakfast, so good

It's a 3-star hotel
Reception: this was haphazard and chaotic, with long queues when checking out. No crowd control, managers or supervisors standing around not doing much instead of pitching in with registration or helping guests check out. Room--on the way to shabby? Shower floor slightly slippery; the slight step-up out of the shower must have been an after-thought; you can't open the glass door without first pushing aside the bath mat, defeating the purpose of having one. You have to step onto the bathroom floor with wet feet first, not ideal on already slippery marble. Toilet roll holders not ergonomically located, requiring one to twist one's body for access. And we were missing hand towels and bathrobes when we entered room. The supposed zeal to seem 'green' with no plastic water bottles but instead a water dispenser for hot and cold water (which we had to fill 500 mils at a time) was not thought through properly. The container for dispensed water far exceeded the height of the dispenser--quite a manoeuvre to get water into the container

Properties old and dated. But for the same reason, it is in a fantastic location. Close to most places. Dining option readily available. The rooms have their periodic charm. Fantastic breakfast. The only thing a traveller would have reservations about is the fact that the shower water pressure is low.
