The location of the hotel is very convenient to grocery shopping, MRT / buses and Little India. Staffs at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. They called a taxi for guests anytime.

Our stay at Owen House was fantastic. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with good knives so you can actually cook, which came handy to us. The location is prime, next to the MRT and many bus lines, and across from a Mall which was fantastic. Sandra and the staff in general are amazing and very welcoming. I can't recommend enough. For the price and what you get, it's fantastic for Singapore!

The location of the hotel is right next to Little India Night Market. However, the walk from the hotel to the LITTLE INDIA MRT station is quite long and complicated, it would be hard for you to find your way without using google maps. The closest MRT station is FARRER PARK, it is a 1 minute walk from the hotel. While the interior of the hotel is pretty stylish, the rooms lacked a lot of necessities such as tissue, slippers, cue tips... etc. While the room looked clean, I still had my doubts. (It just didn't feel clean, although it did look like it was) Overall, it was not a bad experience but I probably wouldn't go back if I visited Singapore again as it seems like there are a lot of different options for a similar price.

I would avoid at all costs. We checked in after 10pm and were given a horrific room that had obviously not been cleaned/checked by housekeeping and which did not match the description of the room booked. It had twin beds, instead of the queen bed booked, and frosted windows with no view, instead of the clear windows shown in the photos of the room. The ventilation grilles and windows were extremely dusty and looked like they had not been cleaned in years. One of shower gel dispensers was broken and the safe could not be used because it had been left open in the locked position. I immediately went back downstairs to the check-in desk and asked to change rooms but was told I could only do so in the morning. We thus had to make do but there was a continuous mechanical/ventilation noise that got increasingly louder through the night and affected our sleep. In the morning, we were able to get a room change albeit that the room was not available until after 3. The new room was significantly better and had clear windows with a view, but the ventilation grilles and windows were still extremely dirty. At no point did we receive an apology for the unacceptable state of the first room. The common areas in the building are also very run down and not reflective of the hotel's price point.

The area is seething with life & activity. Metro almost downstairs. Magnificent Mustafa Mall of everything, directly across the street, currently daily until 2am, in Sept to go 24hrs. Aircon worked fine (essential), heaps of floor area in the room.
