Just a meh downtown hotel
For being in downtown Sioux Falls, and for the price, we kind of expected a nicer facility. The hotel as a whole was run down and out dated. It just felt kind of dingy. Our hotel room door was also broken and we had to make sure that we pulled/pushed it shut really good before leaving or staying in. The parking situation was a mess too, there are only about 20 parking spots on the hotel property. We had to go to the adjacent parking lot that the hotel leased spaces from. Our room was meh. The beds were rock hard and uncomfortable. The tv didn’t worked half the time either. The location though was great. The breakfast lady was fantastic and so kind. She made everyone feel at home and made sure the breakfast area was always stocked.

Will NEVER stay here again. 2 nice people in the place. One checked me in and the other was the person running the breakfast. Otherwise rude. LOCATION: quite a few homeless walking next and through the hotel parking lot. At 75 and alone I didn't feel safe outside. They have a few signs but no one seems to really care. ROOM: 403 Don't let me put you in there until they put in a new bed and fix the floor. Smelled and floor uneven on way to bathroom. BED: WORST I HAVE EVER HAD and I travel very frequently staying in a variety of hotel rooms. It had so many lumps, (thinking springs) that I got about an hour of sleep THEN I sat up in a chair. LINENS: Sheets were great !!!! Otherwise would have received only 1 star. Bedcovering, old and needs to be replaced. Pillows were OK ! BREAKFAST: Standard free breakfast available. It had a variety and staffed by one nice lady. Serve yourself style and food was good! PARKING: Hotel was not full so had decent parking ! But if busy not sure where they would have you park. OLD AND TIRED HOTEL !!! I would never recomend.

Says pet friendly online but checking in they told us incorrect info online. They let us stay. Parking is tight. Great walking path along the river. Rooms ok but a little tired. Beds comfy and clean. Noisy trains throughout the night.
