Cool older hotel with some interesting carved pillars in the expansive lounge areas. The room was comfortable except we had a hard time finding enough room for our luggage without tripping on it. But it's on a quieter street adjacent to all the nightlife, shops restaurants and a quick meander to the beach. The big bonus, besides being cool in a slightly old-fashioned way, was the huge breakfast buffet they serve from 8 am to 12 noon. We had a back balcony with no view, but still nice to step out and the room was very quiet. Nice big shower!

Great location — a few minutes’ walk from the bus stop and the train station — and helpful staff, but the property needs a serious facelift. Our room was tiny and a bit smelly. The bathroom was the tiniest bathroom I’ve ever seen; it was like an airplane bathroom with a teeny-tiny shower. There was zero counter space in the bathroom. The breakfast was OK but the glasses smelled of eggs. The coffee was watery.

Old school charm and superb value

This was a fantastic experience . Helpful staff, a great on site pool and an amazing breakfast to start the day. The hotel is charming and almost all rooms have a balcony to sit out on at the end of the day. The price of the accommodation is quite reasonable and they even provide you with a welcoming glass of wine on the beachfront rooftop of their sister property. It has been a long time since I have stayed in a hotel that over delivered on my expectations. The El Cid was a great place to experience the magic of Sitges

Exactly that it promises.

Simple, clean room for a great stay. No frills but super convenient—especially if you’re using public transportation. Easy check-in. The breakfast was honestly wonderful and it saved me a bunch not having to eat lunch. Great selection of hot and cold dishes. Would highly recommend.

All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful The breakfast buffet was a big surprise Plenty of hot food, cold food, American food, Spanish food, cheese, food, pastries, coffee This was really a big huge brunch every morning and it was great to have it downstairs The hotel has upgraded to double pane windows so anytime you want quiet you just shut the window and it’s perfectly quiet There is a fan in the ceiling And there is an AC unit I didn’t use either I splurged for a room with a balcony It was great to sit outside on a cute little European side street and just watch the day go by ELCid was centrally located And I would stay there again!
