You do not expect luxury for the price but our room was very different to the light and cheerful rooms advertised online - we booked a studio room which was dark and gloomy, had harsh artificial lights, a broken bed (which was fixed during the stay), and a very tired and old bathroom. The shower curtain did not allow you to shower without flooding the whole bathroom. Wifi was slow and patchy. Our outside seating was at the end of the line and litter had blown down from other rooms and was not cleaned.
Check in was poor - nothing was explained and we later discovered we had not been given all the covid documents to sign. The room is cleaned every two days but we were surprised that this also applied to emptying the bin for used toilet tissue which we really thought should be done daily. When we asked if ours could be emptied on the third day of our stay this apparently was not possible.
Clearly some people were having a good time at the hotel and enjoying it for what it was - however the misrepresentation of the standard of the room will, I think, inevitably lead to disappointment for many.
