Lovely property close to Malelane gate. The people who work here really make it feel like you’re visiting friendly relatives. It was a beautiful , restful stay for my kids and I. We enjoyed the lovely meals from the restaurant, the ambiance and view were also superb. Fun pool- the kids pool is super for young kids too.

An incredible experience from beginning to end. After the post-booking questionnaire on my favourite tipple, my expectations were high for the upcoming trip to Shalati. Those expectations were exceeded in the superior level of service, quality of food/drink, the room and the overall Shalati experience. The included game drives were great, knowing in advance that luck plays a significant part in what you see or don't see. My thanks and appreciation to Angel, Mzwandile and Tenashe for making the stay so memorable.

Exceptional is an understatement! All around 5 stars in every category! Food, service, amenities, spa, and staff all were TOP NOTCH! Memorable on so many levels!

Camp Shawu Tents have a unique location in front of a watering hole that house Hippos, and see a string of animals come to hydrate like elephants, impalas, and giraffes....You can seat on your deck and enjoy the show. Our Safari Guide Sifiso, was AMAZING! He made the trip even more special. The property lacks maintenance ...the pool was not maintained hence looked like a mosquito fest, the umbrellas were all broken hence no shade to sit out on the beautiful deck overlooking the watering hole, the doors of the main area were mostly out of service hence not allowing a proper breeze to flow through...The food was average. That said, you pay for the location and an amazing guide not for the property....

Kruger park was only about 20 minutes away by drive. All of the staff were wonderful. So friendly. Whatever you wanted, they would get for you. I couldn’t single out one staff member because they were all perfect. The suites are gorgeous and spotless with a wonderful view of the Sabe River. The food was excellent and so plentiful. I couldn’t think of a better place to stay to get to Kruger and experience the game drives. The drivers were excellent and it was easy to see their love for the animals and nature of South Africa. Highly recommend.
