The biggest issue we had was that the AC was not working in August. We called the front desk and the lady came over and messed with it and then called maintenance and they went back and forth for 45-1 hr before finally moving us to another room. Then they discovered some glitch in the system that automatically turns the AC off so the next day we had the same issue and had to call the front desk for them to turn our Ac back on. Not cool (literally). The hotel also randomly locked doors accessing the restaurant and lobby forcing guests to walk to the main front doors to enter the lobby.

Natural Bridge getaway.

For an older state park property this lodge was outstanding. The room was super nice and we had a porch with a forest view. Included breakfast was standard food, scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy. Make your own waffles. Toast and cereals. We had dinner there for a very reasonable price. The food was great. I would visit again if there weren't so many other places to go.

This is a beautiful area and the lodge is wonderful. We had our own private balcony and the lodge is situated above the river. Gorgeous property and surroundings. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Staff was helpful in getting and changing accommodations for a second night's stay. We found the breakfast buffet was far better than a different Kentucky State Resort Park's breakfast. Our cabin was very nice and clean. Overall our stay at Red River Gorge Resort Park was excellent.

Pros: Beautiful park, nice pool area, comfortable bed, hot breakfast included, friendly staff Cons: limited breakfast options and no made to order option, our blanket had some (what looked like) small blood stains and our second blanket we asked for had (what looked like) sauce stains, room temperature was good but it was confusing on how to control the thermostat

You can’t control your own air conditioning, THERE IS NO MICROWAVE, the tv channels are very limited, it has an odor of a an outdoor toilet. This place has ruined my trip so far.A total dive, very disappointed.
