Really good experience in all ways - especially considering price. My one observation would be that it's rather understaffed - they seem to be rushing to do everything - which might explain why for both dinner and breakfast, all courses arrived at once - so, in future one course at a time please - otherwise food was fine

A lovely hotel, well positioned and friendly staff

Staff were all amazing. My room was lovely and had a door to the garden. The breakfast and evening meals were of very good quality and good value for money

A great hotel for business stays

This was a 3 night stay for business. The check in was seamless and quick. Facilities were explained and directions to the room easy to understand. The room was comfy and enough sockets for charging all my devices (laptop/ phone / iPad) shower was hot and room clean overall

Don’t eat there

Rooms were nice but restaurant was terrible. It was like a fawlty towers experience with service - at one point the waitress asked us to stack our own plates, and a baked Camembert arrived unbaked… we stayed in this hotel years ago, whatever has happened since is a shame, it could be great

A brief stay for one night. Spacious room, nicely equipped. Breakfast service was quite slow and the buffet was certainly lacking options, disappointing considering the price. Pineapple the only fruit, no milk available for cereal, had to ask for it. You have to order toast. Very small sausage on the full English but it was tasty. Would be great if they could have a little more urgency in future.

I have known this hotel for over 25 years but only at xmas time.Apart from breakfast everything was A1 plus! I am of the opinion the lady organising the dining room had little idea of organisation and chef had no idea how to cook scrambled egg. However we shall return on 11th January next.

Our stay was as we expected, having stayed many times before, we would have liked a vegetarian option at breakfast. The quietness and friendliness found at Grovefield are appreciated, we look forward to staying again.

The shower was scalding hot - could not be adjusted Water gushed out in the basin, also scalding hot. The receptionist was aware of the problems but they had not been prepared to change our room as they only had deluxe available. A child or elderly person could easily have been scalded in that bathroom!

Nice hotel if a bit dated

This is a nice hotel in a lovely area of Buckinghamshire. Staff are friendly. The room was comfortable. There is a full cooked breakfast available. The only issue is the hotel is a bit worn, carpet in room a bit stained in places, room fittings could use an upgrade. But it's clean and well kept otherwise.
