I've stayed here a couple times passing though smith falls, its a great place just to crash for a night or two. Don't expect anything crazy as this is not the place, but its clean, the staff are nice, and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is not great but there are a few places in town to get breakfast that have great options.

Foyer. Clean. Modern. Great continental breakfast as advertised. Easy check in. Unhappy was I with unadvertised "deposit" held dor "3-5 business days ( so a week basocally). If your gotel needs my money in your account to earn 70 cents interest, time to close and sell. Elevator. 70s size, woyld never get more than 2 people and suitcases in one trip. Atayed on 3rd dloor. Unlike various obviously fake reviews no unhealthy smells, no bed bugs evident, bit, yes, the balcony 100 feet from a river and outdoors had some bird poo. It's a balcony on the river people. Rivers have bugs. Birds eat bugs. Sigh. Inside: tub wasn't scrubbed clean. Tub ovetflow drain was sealed wirh meyal plate and screws, dod not fill past that to xheck ovetflow drain so maybe it still works. Shower head low volume model could use some clr. Rest of bathroom very clean. Windowsills dirty and cobwebs in corners missed by cleaning staff. Great blackout curtains. Great tv. Perfect coffee choices of medium roast as well as breakfast room had xoffee all day. Parking lot: no lines, shared with bar / grill, clear signs for handicapped spots and reserved for elite hotel xhain members by door. Will stay again if conditions remain similar.

Hidden Gem in Smiths Falls, Ontario

Okay! We all know that Econo Lodges are NOT 5 Star properties. They never have been, never will be. With that said, the Econo Lodge Smiths Falls is an absolutely GEM!!! First, the staff were amazing. Every single person I dealt with was welcoming, friendly, kind, courteous and helpful! They made my stay so much better!! Second, I travel often, so keeping costs down is important. I understand that the Econo Lodges are mainly old facilities. But the Smith Falls location, even though it was old, was extremely clean and well taken care of. Yes, it showed its age, but did so gracefully. Again, a testament to staff who really care!! Third, OMG my room was HUGE! And it had a balcony facing the river! Which will be even nicer when I go back in the summer!! The bed was super comfortable. Nice size TV. Lots of space, did not feel cramped like some hotels. And endless amounts of hot water, great morning showers!! Finally… and this is extremely important… they had a pancake machine for breakfast!!! EPIC!! Over all, for a hotel that is rated 2ish stars, I give my four day stay a 10/10+. Thank you to the people at the Smiths Falls Econo Lodge for making my travels so incredibly fun and relaxing!!! ✌️&❤️ Ken & Moosie
