The room was very small with no view. There was no parking, found one at 32 euros per day. There was a wedding party at the hotel and the fire alarm at 1 am because the smoke machine triggered the alarm, the whole hotel evacuated, no staff to help or to tell what was going on , people on the street barefoot and in pyjamas. We didn't sleep for the rest of the night and had to leave early for the airport. It was a nightmare.

Beautiful

Beautiful hotel in a great, central location. The bed was very comfortable. Suggestion would be to remove the safe from the bathroom which was already a very small room, it made it uncomfortable to be in the bathroom

Missing face massager in the bathroom.

After check in I didn’t find a single hand towel for 2 days staying( just 2 big shower towels), no hear dryer, dirty cups from morning coffee and tea have been left in the room for 2 days. The worth thing is that my face massager which I have left on the bathroom’s ’ top I didn’t find yesterday afternoon, just a bag was left. Today during check out I did a complain at the reception, but in general that’s it shud not be happened. I didn’t know that I have to lock up my personal face care in my bag. Perfect location in centre of Sofia within walking distance to everything. Only drawback is there is no official parking & drop-off area which was inconvenient. The property itself is wonderful with newly renovated modern rooms and smart features. Breakfast is wonderful and would recommend. We did not try the lunch/dinner options.

The Sofia Balkan Palace Hotel offers a refined and comfortable stay in an unbeatable central location. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and feature a stylish shower room that adds a touch of luxury. Staff are warm and welcoming, contributing to a pleasant overall experience. While the breakfast buffet could benefit from more variety—especially in drink options—the hotel’s elegance and convenience more than make up for it. I’d confidently rate it 4 out of 5 and recommend it to anyone visiting Sofia.
