The staff was wonderful- always willing to help. The lobby was welcoming and our room was clean. Only negative would be the mattress - springs were poking us all night.

Needs A/C, especially if room is on sun (road) side. 80 degrees at night is tough to sleep in. Staff did find a fan which made it somewhat bearable. Other than that it was good for AK standards.

I was very grateful that we were moved from the second floor to the first floor. I did not take that under consideration when booking, but my 83-year-old uncle went with us and I didn’t realize we were on the second floor.. The lady was very nice and moved us to a room on the first floor.. that was very considerate and nice of her.

My biggest problem with this room was the bed. It had springs that would make noise every time you move, and you could feel them. It was a very uncomfortable night. I think even a simple quilted mattress topper would help very much. Like many places in Soldotna, this is an older somewhat historic type place. It’s very well-maintained and the atmosphere is perfectly Alaskan like you would expect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean.
