During our stay the staff got to know us and they were awesome and always friendly. The food we were served was fine but the menu was very limited. Our room was infested with ants and we went home covered in bites. The air con in our room was so noisy as well as thew fans. Made it harder to sleep.

Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Very private and peaceful. “Beachfront “ was disappointing since on rock wall where dirty river water goes through. Room very dark and needs more lighting and another chair. Balcony had 2 chairs but also needed small table. Food service in restaurant well-meant but sort of chaotic. Food Ok but not special. Having said all that the wonderful staff made up for most everything.

The new owners need to drop some $ on this older hotel but it is beautiful. Breakfast was huge. The food was good especially at the Tavu bar & grill. Bar had good food and wine. Pool cocktails were wonderful. Floor in main restaurant was soft in places & at one point, a hole had appeared which was adult foot sized. I alerted the staff. Floor is rotting near the pool. Take care. Pool lovely, but spa broke one night. Beach has broken concrete on it. Random things washed up in storms stay where they land. Fan didn't work in shower & light fitting was broken, hole in wall from door handle. No tea or coffee in room, though kettle. Air con was loud & dripping water onto the floor. Furniture dated. Wardrobe door off fixings. I asked for clean glasses at reception, none arrived. Typical 'Fiji' things that could easily be fixed. Floor had not been mopped so wore slippers in room. The bed was super comfortable and the housekeeping service was helpful & friendly. Day 2, my floor was cleaned. Staff were amazing, friendly, helpful, so warm. Being sung 'goodbye' to was beautiful. Coffee shop does fab iced coffee with almond & soy! The views and sunsets from here are divine. Great place to lie on the loungers in the shade and relax. I did get Fiji Belly on my return but Fiji is always a risk with sanitation/refrigeration. This place could be an absolute jewel with some better maintenance so I hope the owners invest in it beyond simply buying it. I would absolutely go back.

The staff were amazing and always looking to achieve extra and please the guests. Certain members of staff were extremely personable and respectful and easy to make friendly connections with. We have huge appreciation toward staff members such as: Ilaitia, Anushka, sushmita, Esther, kesa, Tim, stewart, max, isi, George (guitarist) and many more unnamed. Great things about double tree were: Daily activities on offer, pool time, the location of the property, live music, the beautiful sunsets, and the quality of food. Things that could improve: House keeping, taxi services, high price buffet meals, understaffed, kids club can be renovated. We loved how secluded the resort was and will definitely be back with our boy Sebastian in a few years. Thank you Double Tree.

Each and everyone of the staff members were accommodating, helpful, and absolutely friendly, and amazing. It made us feel like we were welcome made us feel that we were like we were at home this resort and the properties. I completely recommend it is breaking, and the staff is even more.

It was an amazing experience. The staff are very friendly and warm. The property is quiet and the scenery is good. The place is very child friendly and my daughters enjoyed the activities from swimming to attending the kids club and going offshore to South Sea Island.

Never will return! Not worth the money!
The hotel itself was nice and the grounds well maintained. There is only aircon in your room and in the stores but the rest of the hotel is open. We had to take a boat to the island where there hotel is so once you go to this resort, you are on this resort. Remember this place is not an all inclusive and if you plan to go into town this will cost taxi etc. The restaurant is very disappointing, we paid 40/person/day for buffet breakfast. So this is approx. 25 Canadian. It unfortunately is not worth this. Things that should be hot are cold and all the food has no taste so we stuck with fruit. As far as dinners, the first night we ordered in and I had the steak sandwich with fries. The steak was paper thin and the fries were not cooked. My husband had fish and chips and also could not finish his meal as it was not cooked all the way through. They also do not season with salt at all. The second night we shared a shareable meal of seafood. Unfortunately there was no way to get into the crab, they put a grilled fish under everything which sogged it out but the rest was good. The restaurant service this night was ok. The last night we decided to do the Fiji buffet night and the food was ok but lacked seasoning, the show was great, but the waitstaff never ever said anything to us. I tried flagging them down to order a drink, they all made eye contact but kept walking. So we were never even given water. I was not super happy about this so I decided to chat to the manager. Not cool
