Wonderful suite with huge balcony (lovely view, including some sea and Vesuvius) and two ample bathrooms, one with plunge bath, one with large walk-in shower. Excellent breakfast and dining both in the restaurant and in the rooftop bar. Moderately busy area with nearby trains and buses with short walk to town centre with shopping and dining a-plenty, but Sorrento is not blessed with easily-accessible, good public beaches (but don't miss the cheap lift down to the harbours). The Grande Marina should not be missed. The staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful and the only problem we had were related to the power dropping out occasionaly.

Beautiful and clean property. The room is well kept and nice. The breakfast spread was amazing. The front desk staff need to work on their hospitality. Nobody helped us with moving the luggage in and out of the room . We requested for a blanket for the baby in the night and the staff told us they did not have a single blanket available in the entire hotel and denied to hand out a blanket which was very shocking to us!

Great stay at hotel Michelangelo.

Overall, excellent value. Bed was a bit too soft for my taste but I was still able to get a good night's rest. There's a bit of a outside noise but that ended about 10:30 pm on Thursday night. Centrally located to everything. Breakfast was very good. I recommend the hotel.

The staff was the best. We had reserved seats on our return train trip to Rome. Unfortunately, I made the reservation for the wrong date. A woman at the front desk,(Ana), spent a great deal of time on the phone with different people getting it straight for us. I can’t say enough good things about her. Everyone at the hotel was helpful. I would recommend this hotel to all of my Canadian friends. Thanks again Ana.

We stayed 7 nights. The hotel is centrally located, close to transportation, shopping and restaurants. Lucia in housekeeping and Francisco in the dining room were the best parts of this stay. The front end staff were rude and unfriendly.

Check in and check out was quick and easy. Breakfast options were also good. Room didn’t have iron. When we asked the front desk, they couldn’t provide any and said they are not sure where are the irons are since the changes/ renovation! Also bed was make but sheet wasn’t changed. I dropped food crumbs on the bed and the next day crumbs were still there after the bed was made. Overall we had good experience and do recommend this hotel to stay.

Clean property close to the train and bus station. We were checked in right away (which was nice as we were tired from the trip) and placed in a "large", renovated room, away from the main street and the train tracks (but please know some of the rooms in this hotel are dated and overlook active train tracks. Our friends were placed in these rooms which was an unpleasant surprise). Unfortunately, from the moment we walked into our room we identified that the toilet was not working properly. We informed the front desk and the cleaning staff multiple times, but nothing was done about it. Needless to say our entire stay (10 days) we had to be strategic about when to use the toilet, as 2 people could not use it back to back; we had to keep the bathroom window open at all times, as there was an on and off sewerage smell; and had to listen to the toilet running non-stop (I guess this was extra motivation to not spend too much time in the room :). Another dissapointment was when we were told that the gift my local friend left for us at the front desk was lost. We did not even receive an apology. We are not sure if we arrived too early in the season (we visited in March which is considered off season) and they not ready for guests, if we simply got unlucky, or the quality of the hotel is not as advertised.

The hotel Is right in the centre of town, and very close to the bus and train stations. Our room was in a very quiet location, though I suspect that not all rooms might be. Our room was comfortable, the buffet breakfast excellent, and all personnel kind.
