Although pleasant, the staff were slow to respond for customer check in and inquires. The pool area was dark both day and night, so I didn't know if it was open or not. No water or ice was available in the room or common area. The included breakfast was disappointing (no meats or eggs). On Saturday morning there was a warm pan of sausage gravy but no biscuits!! Only 2 pieces of white bread were available, and this was 20 minutes before breakfast officially ended!! The bathtub/shower was old and dirty looking. We didn't use it. Bed was lumpy. Overall, the staff was friendly and the room adequate. If you're on a budget, it's a decent place to stay, but forget about any extras, including ice and potable water. Also, do yourself a favor and get breakfast elsewhere.

Not a Breakfast Buffet
The room was good with a king size bed. Refrigeratir and Microwave worked. I was in South Bend for a funeral, so didnt get to use the pool or fitness center. Cleaning staff did not come in to clean first day, so dirty towels nd trash were not picked up. And no coffee supplies were replenished. Breakfast buffet was very misleading. Iwas expecting som scrambled eggs and sausage, maybe some buscuits and gravy. Insteas there was cereal, waffles to make, toast, bagels and pakaged muffins and oatmeal. These are good, but all carbs, and i am diabetic and cannot eat only carbs. Yogurt and juice and butter and cream cheese in refrigerator. There was coffee or tea. I usually choose my hotels on what the breakfast is like because i would be busy with the funeral.

No elevator!
How can you have a hotel with no elevator? Such a disappointment to book rooms for family wedding and be stressed with family members in their 80’s and 90’s expected to climb and carry bags up flights of stairs. If you aren’t going to have an elevator you should advertise this

Uncomfortable experience
The gentleman at the front desk, who seemed to be the owner, was unfriendly and seemingly not very accommodating. I chose this hotel primarily for its swimming pool and even called ahead to confirm it was open. However, when I asked to use it, he informed me it was unavailable due to low guest usage. Additionally, the bathroom tub was clogged, forcing us to stand in soapy residue during showers. They only replace the shampoo and soap when they are completely used up, leaving me with insufficient supplies for my next shower. Overall, it felt like they were looking to cut costs whenever possible.

After driving 12 hours, the staff at this 'pet friendly' hotel asked what kind of pet I had. When I said I had a cat, he said "No Cats". I had to persuade him and pay an additional $20 fee to spend the night, otherwise I would have had no alternatives. If they only accept dogs, they are 'DOG' friendly, not pet friendly.
