I was hoping for at least a vending area but there was ice only. I’m not sure if there was ice since I didn’t need any. I did not appreciate the additional $50 fee for “possible damage” and was not told ahead of time. Otherwise the place was nice even though it was more than I could afford to pay but needed transportation from the southshore line and I did appreciate that and only needed one night.

I tested positive for Covid on the morning of my intended arrival. I knew that my reservation was not-refundable, but I wanted to inform Saint Mary's. I found this very difficult to do! The Saint Mary's phone tree didn't work right. I tried cancelling via Expedia but when I filled out the form it came back with "Check-in day has already passed", though it hadn't. I finally got through to Saint Mary's, so that they could give the room to someone else.
