My family and I were supposed to stay at your south Deerfield, MA location December 8-10, but once we saw the condition of the property and our room, we immediately walked out and went to the front desk for a refund so we could find a safe hotel for our family. However, we were only offered an “upgrade” which isn’t possible at that property; I will attach pictures below. My two young children (4 and 1) were terrified and crying, begging to leave. This left my family stranded and scrambling to find a safe and clean hotel in the area that had rooms available. $450 later, we found a SAFE and family friendly hotel to stay at. The whole building is run down and has an overwhelming smell of cigarettes. There were employees yelling in the maintenance/laundry area. There was a crackhead picking through the dumpster right outside of our window. There are piles of cigarette butts and beer bottles all over the parking lots and walkways. I’m honestly shocked that we didn’t see any needles lying around, but I’m sure they were there. Our room smelled like disgusting body odor and decay. The window sill had black mold and debris all over it. The window was left open, so staff were obviously aware of the horrible stench and trying to air it out before we arrived. The window screen was bent from someone previously breaking in. I am absolutely appalled at the condition of the property after seeing the severely misleading pictures online, and I am furious about the abandonment we experienced

The ladies bathroom near the office was a disaster-No toilet paper-Papertowel thrown on the floor,even saw that ppl were using paper towel instead of toilet paper in the toilet-Not good for ur septic system

The very large bathroom, had no shelves, with no place around the sink to put toiletries? Odd for how large the bathroom was. No place to hang wet towels either? Room itself had only one night stand and no table to eat from? Odd again...but oh how nice the entire staff was, Red Roof was in the perfect spot and so quiet too !

The room was bare and uninviting. The hallways and outdoor trash bins were overflowing with beer cases and cups etc. There was trash all over the parking lot. This property needs an overhaul. We paid over $300/night for this and were very disappointed. Hotel rooms are scarce during family weekends at UMASS but I plan to book earlier for next year so I am not forced to stay in the facility.

I like the fact that there was plenty of parking. It was easy enough to navigate around. When asked if there was something I did not like, I couldn't come up with anything. I appreciate the ample parking space and the ease of navigation. When asked about dislikes, I drew a blank.

Place is a basic hotel/motel. No frills. Room was clean, internet and cable tv available. Plenty of parking. Must say the staff was superior, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Probably stay again just because of the staff and location. Location suited me very well.

So the key did not work it took 8 tries. The night manager was great , but really get better keys,. I stay here a lot and the door lock has been a repeated a problem. 2 you take dogs, I love dogs but they should all be in one wing. Barking was heard 10:28pm, 12:35am, 4 27am, diff dogs. 3. Coffee, can we have hot water too and tea, and what about decaf???
