Advertised pool and it was closed. Overpowering “cover-up-smell;” smelled like sweet carpet cleaner powder everywhere. Carpet in our room was wet (I t think coming from leak shower floor) evidence of previous repair. Properly location was a GREAT plus. Nice walk to beach.

Positive-staff was friendly, easy parking, pillows comfortable. Not so positive-no soundproofing between rooms and noisy residential properties across street. Shower had no pressure, the soap dispensers were no longer used and one the front was missing, mirror didn’t look like it had been cleaned and water never really warmed up. Hard bed.

No soap for laundry on site. One particular front desk employee was apathetic and not friendly. The room needed paint and mildew cleanup.

The hotel is rated 8.8 and to me its a 2.0. The hotel is dirty and very bas looking. Fridge wasn't working. Pieces of the wall were falling down cracked wall. Asked to be moved to another room thinking it might be better and what a disappointment. Carpet was stained, walls were dirty, lamps seemed old

Our first room had a musty smell. They accommodated and moved us to another room, which was adequate. However, we woke up in the morning and the air conditioner had leaked water and saturated the carpet. Things were clean but looked like they needed a refresh. Please note there was no housekeeping service and if you wanted clean towels you had to bring your dirty ones to the front desk to exchange them.

The whole building needs updating. Lots of cracks, old carpet, rusted areas, needs painting. And for being on the island it breakfast was very lacking. Considering I just stayed at another Best Western the night before in another city. It was very ckean, friendly and alot of breakfast options.
