This hotel is centrally located in South Padre. It is in between the bay side and the beach side. I would not say the island is walkable unless you really like walking. You can walk to the beach easy and a few gift shops. We did end up using Uber a lot to get around so if your thinking of getting a car or not I would definitely get a car.

Well, not on the beach. It was a very short walk to the beach on one side or the bay on the other wonderfully within walking distance of the marine turtle the sea turtle of rehab rehabilitation center, and the staff were very pleasant and the facilities were very nice. I will go again.

Someone had thrown out a fish or a dirty diaper into the garbage can just outside the front door. The stench was terrible. You could smell it in the lobby. I couldn't believe that the staff didn't fix this. It was absolutely disgusting. Other than that the stay was good. I haven't yet received the receipt for my stay. It would be nice to get one.
