Our room was on the first floor, which is tile throughout. It was very noisy. In our room, we could hear even a whisper uttered in the hallway. Cleaning carts, suitcases, everything was so loud, I was awoken very early every morning due to this. Staff were all 1000% awesome! Friendly, attentive, genuine. The pool area is great, and the walk to the beautiful, clean beach is short. So, maybe another floor would have been better, less traffic, carpeted to reduce noise, etc. Would give another try, and book early enough to get an ocean-side view with a balcony. GREAT BREAKFAST!!!

We stayed on the 4th floor with an extended balcony, so we had a great view and plenty of space to sit on the balcony with it's 4 chairs and table. The parking can be tight so if you get a close up spot consider yourself luckt. The whole staff was friendly and helpful. Cafe staff was very nice and knowledgeable. The giftshop had plenty of items to choose from and some are discounted. The pool area was nice and clean. Our room was spacious since it was only 2 of us and we had a double bed, pull out sofa and balcony with a view of the ocean. The room felt it needed updating with the balcony door and the door that took me several times to try to unlock after it was green. Staff is constantly cleaning so every smelled fresh. Beach access was really close and convenient. The breakfast was hot and plentiful. We both had a great time.

The cleaniness is horrible! Smells like dogs and dirty. Woke up with bites most likely bed bugs. We have stayed here 4 times prior and never seen it in this condition will not being staying here anymore!

Won't stay again.

The hotel was old and dated. Bathroom drains not working. Cleanliness was horrible. All tile floors in the room, never mopped so you constantly had to clean grit off your feet. Staff always seemed unhappy. Scammers charging for things you are not responsible for. We travel very often as an older couple and I would not recommend this hotel.

As always … everyone was very friendly. Had a problem with air … but moved us right away to another room. Only complaint … I drink de-caffeinated coffee, they have always had it before at breakfast … I brought it to the hostess and was promised it would be there the next morning … it was NOT!

Family Friendly La Copa

La Copa Inn is an excellent beachside hotel on South Padre Island. The rooms are modern and have trendy, fun beach themes and the linens are fresh and appealing. Most rooms have either a balcony or a patio and I appreciate that amenity. Front desk personnel are friendly and helpful. There is a family friendly pool and a pool side cafe with lots of menus options. A free and hearty buffet style breakfast every morning is much appreciated.
