The property is right on the beach making the location perfect. The pool was a good option as the ocean was freezing. The indoor pool isn’t heated but a good option if the weather isn’t great. The rooms are basic, nothing fancy. There are ants but assume that’s due to the location and not from the room being unclean. If you have any difficulty at all with stairs make sure to request a room on the first floor. Parking is not included and is charged on site in addition to room costs. It’s $25/day. There’s restaurants on site but they close early. Anything else is a min 10+ min drive. If you want a quiet room to sit out on the balcony and enjoy the view don’t get a room facing the pool as it’s crowded and loud.

My opinion

Great time except it was super windy. Was told we had access to the pools at Rivera and blue water pools. But when we went to used indoor at blue water we were unable to get in. Needs a key card. Ours from rovers didn’t work. When sleeping you could hear the next room snoring loudly like they were in the room with you. And people yelling out side the door at all hours. Was a bit annoying.

There was NO wifi in the room and only LUKEWARM water in the bathroom. When we checked in, we were told the wifi would be worked on the next day. We were told each day that it was being worked on. Later we read reviews of this hotel of many people stating that, though advertised, there was no wifi. We’re not sure it was ever being worked on. We stayed 3 nights. It was a large room. It included a table and two chairs. We had an ocean view which we loved. Though not every room has an ocean view, the hotel is on the beach. The beds were not pillow top but were okay. There was a large tv. The sink was outside of the toilet. There were charging ports built into the bed which was convenient. We later learned that a company called Red Jackets owns Riviera and the resort next door. We do feel we should have been given a discount due to no wifi and lukewarm shower water. Beware!

Location & room tastefully decorated. There was a stain down the side of the bed, indicating the mattress cover was not changed, and the skirt wasn’t changed, which should be checked before new guest checks in. I asked for it to be fixed. We came back later that day it was not fixed and the ceiling was leaking this morning before we checked out. The entire floor was wet, luckily we didn’t slip and fall.

You have to park at the sister hotel to check in and then drive to this particular resort. It was clean but cleaners did not come in much while we were gone. Truly best to come when it’s hot out and you can enjoy being outside on the beach. As the property was beautiful for pool and beach. The room its self was so so.

Not what I expected for the money.

We just got back from a long weekend. The hotel was kind of noisy due to kids running around who were staying for various sporting events. Having been in that scene at one time, this didn't particularly bother us and everyone was friendly and having a good time. Our room seemed to have constant humidity, but with not bathroom fan, I'm not surprised. Bathrooms are also ridiculously small for a room with sleeping for four. Near us a smoke alarm kept going off at all hours of the night (midnight, 2am, 4am 6am). We called the front desk and I know many others did, but they never fixed it. Also when we checked in we inquired about possibly an extra room, told all booked, but the day before when we confirmed reservations we were told 42 availability. However, the website still showed available rooms. Office also told us complimentary breakfast included but the restaurant told us that wasn't true. Management just didn't seem concerned enough to get information straight or fix the fire alarm issue. Housekeeping wonderfully nice and helpful. Proximity to beach, outstanding!
