This was a 1-night stay for work. Car park was free, room (304) was big and there was a table and 2 chairs in room, as well as a kitchenet. Ensuite was good, large bath towels. TC+V and wifi were okay. Some disrepair in room and not completely clean (cobwebs on ceiling, hair in bath). No lift up to room, which was on 3rd floor.

The property from the outside is very impressive, staff are lovely and my room was very clean but it did feel a bit like student accommodation with slightly battered furniture that doesn’t really match, bathrooms that need replacing and missing the little touches that would make it a great hotel eg. Bedside lights, space rug under the bed as it has laminate floors, better mattress etc. The room was enormous so if you need more space with the addition of a kitchenette then this is a great option. I stay in a lot of hotels, older buildings are charming but often lack modern conveniences but you gain lovely grounds, free parking and bigger rooms.

Very noisy

The hotel staff are always very good. On this trip I had room 102. The room was clean, comfortable but from 3am I had the bin men and what sounded like deliveries being made all to the back door of the hotel which is under one of the rooms windows. Even with the windows closed it was bloody noisy. I certainly wont be rushing back.

Uniqueness & history of home… Beautiful home, be ready to walk up 3 1/2 floors if room is on top floor…. No lyft. Not a problem for a 17th century hm, just realize that- Would recommend a bathtub safety bar in rm 310#. Very sm tub, but nothing to help pull to get out of it! Rather comical trying to get out… just funny after 10 minutes… lol. Loved our stay…

Beautiful hotel and grounds with an outside dining facility. Staff extremely helpful and welcoming, especially Fay on reception. Good food. Downside no lifts and no fridge or facility to phone reception from bedrooms, otherwise a perfect stay for our requirements and would book again.

Bedroom was spacious and clean but in need of refurb. Shower was pathetic, dribbled out. It was an over bath shower but there were no safety handles and as an elderly couple it was dangerous when trying to get in or out. All staff we met were very friendly, breakfast very good and outdoor space was outstanding. Word of warning if using a sat nav the hotel shares a postcode with a housing an estate and there is to access to the hotel through the estate. If you find yourself in the housing estate go back to the main road and turn right 3 times and you will see the sign for hotel.

Impressive, imposing looking hotel

Found this hotel largely because of the Hotels.com discount! Well located but just needed a room for the night so the food options and bar weren't explored. Check-in was excellent. Lady on reception was incredibly helpful and the hotel didn't try to charge an extra tenner because we were a few minutes early. Lovely large room with cooker, fridge and washing machine which would have been perfect for a longer stay. Room had shutters on the main windows which was something of a novelty for the UK although they were a little cumbersome to move and could do with a sand and repaint. Bed was comfortable and as a result had a good nights sleep. Views from the room looking out over the drive were great. All-in-all an excellent stay and a hotel that I would add to my list for the future.

I've had a very enjoyable weekend in a small apartment, plenty of space for me and the dog. Walled garden ideal for the dog and recreation ground with a sports centre close by. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I'll be back.

It was the mansion was amazing place to stay and we also had a little area to walk to that had a bar a store and a few other places. I cannot say enough about the staff the gentleman that seemed to be over the dining room, and the bar was absolutely amazing. The ladies at the lobby desk, where the friendliest and tried every way to accommodate us with our stay.. amazing place and an amazing!!

1 night stay

I booked at stay at the orange hotel and was greeted by a lovely receptionist Anna. She was absolutely wonderful and showed us to our room. Bed was quite uncomfortable could feel the springs in the mattress and the sofa was very creaky. Apartment room was big and the TV had Netflix which was great. Upon leaving I had lost my keys to which I spoke to Anna and she had put a message in her work group chat and helped me search the apartment and around my car. Eventually my keys were found but all staff were wonderful and very professional.
