Excellent Hotel with Last Minute Bookings

We arrived in Southampton not expecting to stay the night but, after realising we did, walked around hostels but all were no vacancy. This hotel was available and affordable for a last minute decision. Furthermore, we arrived at the hotel 10 minutes after booking online and, a very friendly receptionist greeted us, we had a quick joke and he gave us our room keys right away. The set up of the room was perfect for us, a double bed with a single bunk bed on top, all with personal lights. The hotel is said to offer toasties 24/7 however I didn't explore this. The rooms are nice with eco-friendly products as stated and, when we were a bit late for checkout and our room key stop working, the Maid staff there were very kind and understanding, quickly letting us in to double check we had all of our items. Absolutely a happy little hotel close to all amenities, I'd stay again!

Worst hotel ever didn’t even stay a night .

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at . I did not even end up staying I checked in and as soon as I had seen the room I check out and stayed at another hotel not too far from this location . The rooms where not up the standard as I expected rooms were very small the shower was literally a foot step away from the bed , no kettles to make a little tea or anything in your room it’s little a bed next to a shower with a stool in the room . I wish I had taken out cover to get back my money.

Good stay for a night or two. A bit awkward having the shower in the bedroom but everything is functional. 5 minute walk from the Harbour Parade Coach Station. McDonalds next door and grocery store across the street. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

80 degrees outside. AC wouldn’t turn on. Front desk came to room. First said he couldn’t get to work. Then said they were remodeling so not functional. Other guest had same problem. At 135GBP expected better. Seems deceptive.

There is basic accommodation and then there is Ibis Budget basic accommodation. The room was like a small echo chamber. Every noise was amplified. The bed was extremely uncomfortable with a cheap thin foam topper. It wasn’t even reasonably priced. The only positive is its location to the shopping areas and docks. We will be avoiding the hotel in future.

Location is great- within reasonable walking distance for able bodied people between the main train station and the cruise terminal where our ship departed from. Accommodations are basic but acceptable for one night or 2. Price very affordable.

Excellent value for short stay. Room is small but perfectly clean. Staff very helpful with problems. Would stay again for one or two nights in connection with cruise or work, but otherwise the room smallness is annoying. Excellent value for a basic stay. 😊
