Stayed here as was going to a music event and loved that it was close to the train station and a large shopping centre and food places! The room was a little hot but they had a fan so that helped! Staff were very polite. Would definitely stay again.

A good budget hotel for visiting Southampton. A 10 minute walk (through the rail station) to the Mayflower Theatre and into the city centre. Comfortable room and plenty of hotwater for shower/bath.

Two of us only stayed one night pre-cruise.We did not need parking. The walk from Southampton Central to Ibis is roughly 10 minutes, including an overpass bridge. There are several dining places, the hotel has its own cafe and bar. McDonald and TGIF is right next to the hotel. However, we wanted something less American, so we followed Google Maps and went to university area with more dining. Front desk staff was very accommodating and helpful. They provided us with an electric adaptor, and helped printing my cruise ship luggage tags.
