Great for a night’s stay in Southampton. Staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The pipes in our bathroom were loud and made noises whenever flushing or using the sink.

Great welcome at reception. Only downside is that the bar area does not open until 12 noon so if you arrive early you cannot get a refreshment. Super tasty meal in the evening and first class service in the bar. Thank you for a great short stay.
I left my knee protector in the toilet after checked out. Called to ask the staff to help. Didn't help. Came back for the luggage in the afternoon. Receptionist did not know we called. She then asked the cleaner to take a look. After 15 minutes, only to realise the cleaner did not bother to take a look either. I had to leave to catch the train instead of waiting for any longer. They did apologize through email afterwards.

Beds were comfortable, terrible pillows. Old bathroom. Tea and coffee available. A lot of space in the restaurant, quick service, good food. Also breakfast was good. Okish hotel, I'd try another one next time. Price is nonsense however it makes sense because of the cruiseships.
Air conditioning and lights didn’t work so we had to get maintenance. Thankfully we saw what they did next time they didn’t work. Only one pillow each so asked for extra - housekeepers looked like we’d asked for a gold bar! However, most concerning was the fact the hot and cold water for the bathroom tap was plumbed in the wrong way round to that indicated on the tap and the ‘norm’. It was only after I’d made two drinks this was noticed. Totally unacceptable
The check in was great, the member of staff was very friendly. The room though was tired and worn, and the shower door was too small for the shower, and so left a gap. The shower itself was small with no diverter. The food in the restaurant was OK but not good, and the main course was bought out before we finished our starters. The bar staff were new, but worked very hard. I would not stay here again.

Lack of staff on Reception but those that were working were very pleasant.
We had to leave our luggage as had to be out of room but it was too early to go to Cruise Port. The storeage facility was TOTAL CHAOS. One of r suitcases was just left behind Reception with others total lack of security & others in a room. The guy on Reception couldnt find them & wouldnt let my husband in to identy them. We had a taxi waitinh outside costing us money so my husband insisted in going in. There must have been 100 cases with no system whatsoever. Only my husband woukd have been able to identfy our luggage. This woukd put us off ever staying again pre cruise.
Very convenient for purposes of visit
Aircon not functioning properly - wouldn’t cool the room to the temperature it was set to and switched off every couple of hours meaning we had to get up to turn it back on.
Shower pump was very noisy - clearly faulty - and likely to have disturbed other guests.
Room overall felt tired.
Hotel was nice but our air conditioning wasn’t working. We had the windows open and being a city hotel it was noisy outside. We did go to reception and they said they would send someone up, they never came. Apart from that everything else was good.
