This hotel is an old coach house which I love old building, it's a bit dated, but our room was clean and good value , booked breakfast which was excellent value £5.99 staff friendly , can't fault it, we walked to the cruise ship about 10 mins walk , will use again

The staff made this stay

Do you know I wasn't best pleased with the room. The bed was small, floors sloped but the staff and the ambience were awesome. Breakfast was yummy so I'm giving them 5 stars. Price was excellent, close to cruise terminal.

Friendly staff, pleasant stay hotel outdated

Staff were all very welcoming and helpful,room and over all hotel was clean but very outdated. We were supplied amenities kettle, tea/ coffee, clean towels and toiletries which was really nice. The only real problem we had was through the night our shower made sporadic loud gurgling noises that i assumed was the neighbours flushing their toilet. The shower gurgled and some backflow water came out of the drain on to the shower floor. It woke us up a few times.over all it was a pleasant stay

Quirky hotel with old style gated lift very cute!! Breakfast very reasonably priced and delicious .Staff friendly & had a hairdryer at reception when needed. Hotel is surrounded by bars/restaurants and 2 minutes walk to all the shops.Handy it has its own carpark too!! Will definitely be going back !

Worst hotel ever!

Small dirty room , mould and rust in the shower. No cold water pressure and tap loose in basin..tv very poor signal. Overall probably the worst place I have stayed in. Floor on first floor over looking car park with rooms opposite on higher floors yet I had no curtain for privacy and used the bathroom without a light switched on!!

A great hotel in the middle of Southampton

The hotel is very well situated. Surprisingly really quiet. The room was comfortable. The shower was great. The lift is old fashioned and pretty funky. A great experience. All staff members are very pleasant.

Good value stay in an interesting building

At a similar price to a chain budget hotel I decided to take a risk and go for this instead as this landmark building in the centre of Southampton looked like an interesting choice. It is an old building and a bit dated in parts but it was clean and comfortable and the staff were all friendly and helpful. There was also a decent and good-value breakfast. It made for a more interesting stay than an anonymous chain and was a bargain for the price. I'd happily stay again.

Very good value hotel in the centre of Southampton. The building is dated and visibly worn. However, rooms are spacious and clean, there is a desk for working and free WiFi. Good breakfast with friendly service. Rooms at the back of the hotel quite noisy at night.
