Nice Place But Awful Service
I would have given my stay here 2 stars but the service was awful to the end. First, to check-in the hotel required me to provide a $250 CASH deposit. They said they require it for anyone with a local address (I live overseas but use a local address). When I didn't have that much cash on me, they said I could use their ATM on the 2nd floor. That resulted in a $3.00 fee, which they of course do not refund. I have never had to pay such a cash deposit in Springfield. Second, I chose this hotel in part because of its laundry facilities. The single washing machine, however, was out-of-order when I arrived and though it was fixed the next day the staff twice told me I would have to run out to purchase laundry detergent. After going out to get that, I discovered the vending machine, again on the 2nd floor, actually sold small packets of laundry detergent. Third, I needed to check-out at 5:00am to catch a flight and asked the night before if it would be quick to get my cash deposit back, and was told it would be. That morning, however, the single staff person seemed surprised by my deposit and then had to check the room and figure it all out. I had never seen her there, but she again was just not hospitable. It seemed like the staff in general resented their customers, perhaps they've had some bad experiences. The hotel and the room itself were nice enough, but I cannot recommend staying here. In Springfield there are other hotels which are just as nice and much more hospitable.

My stay was very enjoyable. The guy who worked at the desk at night was very nice & accommodating to my needs and helped me a lot. However, in the morning I went to reserve another room. The lady up front was being very passive aggressive towards me and talking to me as if I was stupid. At first she was going to let me reserve the room & gave total amount as I then handed her the money. She then proceeded to say that since I paid deposit with card the previous night (as I was told to do) that I now needed a $250 cash deposit. I told her nicely that does not make sense as I have already paid deposit, there is already one on the account. Instead of even helping me slightly understand she just kept snapping at me. Never mind that I went to pack my things and she kept trying to come right her wrongs by saying now there was an extra deposit because I am now paying in cash. Which is untrue. Because when she was going to let me reserve it the first go around, i asked if (said total) was the final amount and she said yep that’s all. She was just trying to make excuses for her acting the way she did. Very bad customer service. I will not be going there again, simply because of her. Of course there’s a lot more to this story than I can put but she definitely needs spoke to by her manager. It was not okay how she was acting. She also refused to give me her name. Short blond ish hair, and glasses. Around 11am. Thanks

Baymont on Battlefield Rd and 65 Hwy quickly became a Favorite to me. They made me feel like Family. You can't get Better service than at Baymont. I love the Staff, the Housekeepers, facilities, and the Cleanliness of the place. I Also loved that they knew me by my first name no matter how packed they were and would jump to help me if I ever asked or if they saw me struggling with my Disabilities.. I Love it there!! Definitely my Favorite in Springfield, MO.

Less than happy
We stay here often while traveling and usually have no issues. We checked in as a couple and found out when we got to the room that we only got one key. Checked into the room and found there wasnt any soap by the sink. The bathroom door squeeked loudly and was hard to close. The toilet needs a new flapper valve as it kept running during the night. The hair dryer was on its last leg. Had to wiggle the cord to get it to turn on.
