Springfield trip

Elevator would only go down so had to walk up stairs to get to my room. Beds are not comfortable. I doubt we will stay here unless it is the only place available

First floor BUTTON and ONLY ELEVATOR ON THE PROPERTY WASNT WORKING you had to go up or down. Only person on staff didnt answer bell at the front desk for about 10 minutes after arrival while line started to form about their room being 80 degrees. Our air conditioning wasnt on either and just as hot. Having one person work the evening shift for the entire hotel at 8pm is ridiculous. We stay at la Quintas all the time since we have a mini goldendoodle and they allow dogs. This is the first time we have had a miserable experience getting checked and getting to our room. This is the only La Quinta we would never dream of staying at again. We will be calling Expedia and Wyndham corporate about this to be compensated/credited considering we are wyndham platinum members.

Elevator stopped working on a Friday. Stairway hall light burnt out. Were not tended to. Biscuits and gravy every single day (to our disappointment). No 24/7 coffee. Three Star hotel.

Everything was amazing, the only issue was the breakfast. The juice tasted extremely watered down, they didnt have any gravy for the biscuits, they had run out an hour before breakfast closed. The sausage was good. So were the waffles. So all in all, it was decen.

Place needs help!!

All i can say is stay somewhere else!!! From check-in to when we left, was completely a mess. Unprofessional, not clean, 2 broken lamps, broken tiles on bathroom floor that was covered up with an outdoor rug. System went down at 225pm and nobody could check-in until almost 4pm. Kids running/screaming up and down the hallways until past 11pm and of course our room phone didn't work so we had to go down to front desk and they told us there was nothing they could do. I'm not a "Karen" but this was just so unreasonable.

This hotel is very close to a softball complex in Springfield. It is ckean, comfortable and quiet. They also serve a great breakfast. I will use this hotel.again.

ANTS AND SOILED MATTRESS

I had one of the worst hotel experiences of my life at La Quinta Inn & Suites Springfield, IL. When I checked into my room, I immediately found an ant infestation and mattresses that were filthy, with stains that looked like blood. When I reported it to the front desk, I was shocked to be told they could give me spray so I could handle the ants myself. That’s completely unacceptable. Guests should never be expected to perform their own pest control. I contacted Wyndham Hotels expecting help, but instead I was told to wait a week for the property to respond. After all of that, I was offered just 15,000 points. Meanwhile, I had to leave and get another hotel. I am out nearly $400.00 from this experience. This was more than an inconvenience—it was a health and safety issue. The lack of cleanliness, accountability, and customer care was beyond disappointing. I would never recommend this property, and I will not be staying with Wyndham again.

Do I look like I work for Terminix?

I found ants in my room. When I reported it, the front desk told me they could give me spray so I could handle it myself. This is completely unacceptable. Guests should never be asked to perform pest control. It’s a health and safety issue and far below the standards expected from your brand.

Staff was helpful and courteous. However, general hotel condition was average - swimming pool was cloudy, breakfast was average (primarily starch items like waffles, donuts and cereal). Room cleanliness was ok, but floorboard in bathroom was loose and cabinet door for refrigerator wouldn't close.
