Parking garage was not operating properly causing a long line and confusion. There were several signs stating there had been break-ins & thefts out of car - appreciate the heads up but was concerned about personal safety and protection of my car. Room was hot and the shower head was terrible.

It was in walking distance to all things Lincoln. So convenient. That staff was friendly and welcoming. The 2 guys in the bar for happy hour were excellent. Good restaurants were close by.

The property has not been kept up. The staff is absolutely wonderful. A gentleman from security walked right up as I pulled in, had me park just off the entrance, got a luggage cart, explained how the parking worked and encouraged me to first check in and settle my bags in my room before worrying about my car. All the stresses you have when visiting an unknown hotel were immediately put to rest. However, the Hilton needs to put money into maintaining and updating the property. The lobby is beautiful and the “bones” are timeless. Gorgeous wood work, but some stains, paint chipping, etc.

This property is very dated, not what i would expect for a Doubletree and certainly not for the price I paid for the room. The bathroom had 4"x4" tile which normally is on the walls in a 1970's house, but it was on the floor and then they painted them and the paint was obviously flaking off. Looked terrible. the shower either had black mold or dirt all along the shower entry. The shower curtain was not long enough, so the floor got water all over it. The floor towel for the shower was soaking wet. There was no way to prevent it from happening. Only small issue with Housekeeping. I didn't notice until 6 AM they had not put any towels other than hand towels in the room. called and it took them 45 minutes to bring towels. Called twice. Front desk blamed Housekeeping and Housekeeping blamed Front desk. Neither story of why matched. Not happy. I took pictures of the bathroom.

Our much-needed getaway!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pres. Abraham Lincoln Springfield. It had been a while since my husband and I could get away for a short trip. We explored the area and did some historical sightseeing. The facility was perfect. Walking distance to historical sights. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean environment. Thank you all.
