This hotel did not have my reservation in its system. There were at least 10 other customers that experienced the same problem. The hotel then said they were fully booked and had no rooms for anyone else.

Terrible experience

Woke up Saturday moring and, there was noone at the front desk at all. Went to where I assumed breakfest was and, each container had what look like breakfest that been there for a few days. Cereal machines had cereal were all over the floor. It was dirty and, really discusting with noone to ask why. Walked outside to smoke and to another person staying there that saw the same thing. Upon checking in it took almost 45 min because 45 min because there was no heat in the rooms and, they were sending to people to rooms that were already occupied. The elevators were both out of order. Came back the rhat afternoon and, asked if there would be breakfest sunday morning the women at the desk on her phone said yes. Woke up next moring to no breakest, no coffee again wit no explanation why but, the mess cleaned up. Monday morning was the exact same. The people I did interact with that worked there were nice but, had no explanation for anything. A few dead bugs in my room and, the curtains would not close all the way. Without question the worst hotel experience I've had. The only thing worse was it being extremely cold outside. I was there Feb 15th, 16th & checked out the 17th. Will be pursuing a refund & will never stay there again.

Terrible !!!! No heat in the rooms and took an hour to get checked in because none of the suites that I booked had heat ! The lady working the front desk was housekeeping trying to get us rooms with heat. Ended up on the 6th floor with two rooms and one had heat one didn’t. Then the elevators broke ! No lounge was open and no breakfast in the morning !!!

We checked in, took forever since the front desk person was actually a housekeeper. We were told no heat in the rooms. Told us our room had heat. But when we got there it didnt. The elevator was not working. It was just a mess. They told us are rooms would be completely comp. But its showing pending right now.

Our room was freezing hvac was out. Front desk person said she try and find us a room with heat. We just took extra blankets. The place under new management need to be shut down because Neil the have heat. Over all very little heat in the hotel. No breakfast because cook was sick. Do jot recommend.

I actually left and did not stay that evening (even though I was charged and I asked for a refund.) I attempted 3 different rooms before I finally left. Even after I walked into the first room that was cluttered and used. Even after I had a piece of the ceiling tile fall on top of my head, I chose one more time. That room, the bed was sinking and the ceiling tiles were open and the plumbing was exposed. I finally chose to prioritize my safety and well being and went to another nearby hotel. The clerk tried so hard. I could tell she was embarrassed and flustered. I have stayed there over the years and I will never attempt to stay there again.

First, the parking lot wasn't plowed at all. Then the heater didn't work and I was given another room. The next room had toilet paper in the toilet and when I flushed, it backed up. The breakfast had cereal and no milk, biscuits and no gravey, no spoons either. It became laughable when the the next issue happened.

Had to change rooms, broken thermostat. No hangers or hooks anywhere. New room had broken shower handle, visible mold and mildew on bathroom floor, and no hooks or hangers. Bar is closed, elevator is broken, just generally a neglected and declining property. Will not ever stay here again and cancelled a future reservation as a result of this really extra bad experience.

I was moved to 4 different rooms because the hotel did not have heat. The final room did not have towels. The quality of the hotel is going down despite hosting dignitaries due to the close proximity of the IL State Capitol building.

Bad experience

There were people hanging out in the lobby for hours. Pretty sure they were homeless or sex workers. The elevator was broken and they had a caution tape because door was stuck open. And when we went down for breakfast the next morning no one showed up to cook - so we didn’t get breakfast or any type of comp for it.

Very Poor Experience

It took three attempts to get the room we booked online (first room hadn't been cleaned yet, second room had two double beds and we booked a single queen). There were water buckets scattered throughout the entryway catching water from a leaky ceiling. One of the two elevators was blocked off with caution tape and didn't work. The room's thermostat didn't work... it was freezing in our room despite turning the temperature up to 90 degrees. We requested additional blankets at 9pm and were told "it will be awhile" before they could accommodate... however nobody ever brought anything. Finally, we were woken up at 8:25am by housekeeping to clean the room when checkout wasn't until 11am. Overall, sadly a very poor experience.

Very nice rooms we stay here every chance we get

I paid for king suite when I checked in they said there was non available but they found one for us. The lady was fairly new so she had manger help they were vey nice .
