Would definitely stay there again. We usually stay in 4 or 5 star accomodations so are expectations were a little lower but it far exceeded them. Super close to the bars and restaurants.

We've been staying on & off for years near where we lived for decades when we got up to visit friends or attend a function (or funeral). Ez walk to town/ restaurants ..MUCH improved over years with new owners..cleanly designed rooms, ez Brkfst included and even a cookie at check in time!

Great Energy

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at The Ellery. It had the perfect energy we were looking for; quiet, calm, clean and classy. The breakfast was better than expected. When you read continental breakfast, you don't expect warm Gruyere cheese egg bites or fresh bagels and cream cheese. The coffee and tea were delicious and always available as well. All in all, a lovely stay.

This was a delightful surprise. Hotels.com lists this as a two-star location, but I would easily give it three or more. Clean, nicely set up, very friendly and accommodating. They were kind enough to allow me a 2-hour early check-in which was a definite bonus as I'd been on the road for over two months and was running a bit ragged. Their breakfast was continental, instead of the eggs and bacon and such you might find, but nicely laid out with a very comfy little dining room with fireplace. I tipped the housekeeping staff $20 for the early check-in, the cleanliness, and the general condition of everything on the premises.
