If you want direct access to the beach this is probably the best option. The hotel itself is new or renovated and quite nice. Parking is valet only.

Breakfast was good. Housekeeping was terrible, the housekeepers were watching TV in one of the empty rooms and watching videos on their phones in the hall. All that was done in the rooms was the beds were made, nothing else was cleaned. The showers were rusty and little to no water pressure. The valet parking is very pricey.

This was our first trip to St Augustine. The resort was nice enough. Be aware that there are additional feels and items that you are made aware of after you book, mainly the MANDATORY valet parking to the tune of 40/night and 22/day resort fee whether you visit the beach/pool or not. They put a hundred dollar hold on your card/night because they know they will nearly get it all. The resort was a pet friendly one, which I did not know when booking but it was ok. Def could tell by the smells in the rooms and halls that it was a pet resort. We did have two instances of excessive barking by a room next to us and when I told the staff, I was told that they would call the person and tell them. We were woke up one morning at 745 by barking dogs as well. So know that going in. Other than the fees and the pet noises, the stay was pretty good. Some staff were cheerful and helpful, some complained about their jobs. Overall we very much enjoyed the stay and may try somewhere else for accommodations next time there but would be back to the town. Still waiting to verify if charges are as expected.

Great hotel for the most part. They do nickel and dime you to death with forced valet parking, daily resort fee, umbrella rental and so on. The hotel itself is super nice and clean. The staff leaves something to be desired. Two younger females working the front desk acted like they hate their jobs and had poor attitudes when asked questions. I also had a handheld gaming console stolen out of my room. When I reported this to the staff, they could have cared less. Didn’t offer to help at all to track it down or atleast question the cleaners and refused to make things right when asked about reimbursement. It was only a $40 console so I felt that wasn’t too much to ask for. Rule of thumb is to ALWAYS lock anything nice in your rooms safe.
