The staff here is nice and it was a nice room! Although the facilities is a tiny bit run down (one shower head had duct tape, the attachment of the sink seemed a bit flimsy, AC had damp condensation on the floor) the staff were kind and it was ok for a couple nights stay.

The property is need of an update which I’ve been advised is happening. The Holiday Inn South of the Hampton Inn is owned by the same entity that owns the Hampton. The two properties will be switched in the coming weeks/months. I assume with that there will be updates. Let’s hope so I love staying in St Augustine at our Hampton Inn, Historical District. Did I tell you they have breakfast included? Yep, they do!!

Room was clean and as expected but our room was not ready at check in so we waited an hour and a half, still not ready so we had to leave to the beach unrefreshed with a full car. It was a large inconvenience for us. Also expedia said all fees were paid for and the hotel tried to charge us an additional $15 FOR PARKING. Im not aware of such practices with any other hotel. Slightly disappointed.

The hotel itself was decent although a bit outdated. We rented 2 suites that were very spacious. However, they were both facing the street where we could hear all the passing traffic.

The staff was excellent, the dining area was clean and food was fresh and the server was nice. Our room however was not the best. There was no soap, shampoo/conditioner, the sink was not cleaned very well, and the toilet ran unless you giggle d the handle. Which was an issue. Over all we like Hampton Inns.
