We booked an ocean view room and did not get an ocean view room. We got a 1st floor parking lot view and it was a handicap room on top of it. Hampton Inn didn’t care because we booked thru a 3rd party company

Stay was well worth the trip. The only downside was Hotels.com said everything was covered in the price, but when we got to the hotel, there was an additional $16.00 per night parking fee.

The front desk staff are rude. They need t train them to be friendly and greet guests warmly. I was welcomed with a be patient when I checked in and had a really hard time getting pool towels. Otherwise all good.

Parking a bit wierd: when you arrive, car is pointed towards controled barrier for parking option #1. But that lot always full so one goes through the barrier and has to loop around back out to get to available parking. Silly. And parking is $16/night:: ouch!

second time in san augustine in couple yrs best hotel ever been everything exellent very close to the saint marcos castillo walk to beach nice free breakfast in the morning very safe and secure parking lot only thing have to pay for $16.00 A day but is fine
