Bed was very comfortable and staff was very friendly. However, the room we were assigned smelled musty, the bathtub faucet wouldn't turn off fully (more than a drip) and the shower curtain wouldn't stay closed because the rod was barely attached to the wall.

Cute on the outside- mediocre on the inside.

The hotel is lovely from the outside. But the rooms leave something to be desired. The beds are older and rutted. The towels had rips in them. No one was at the desk when I checked out and I did not get an email receipt which I am still waiting for.

The staff was very nice and the price wasn’t terrible, but our room smelled very musty (it also had a lot of dust but that wasn’t a huge problem) our fridge did not work and we had to thaw it/fix it ourselves and then we woke up to an awful breakfast that gave me an upset stomach until the next evening.

We stayed for three nights. The first night we found that the tub stopper was engaged in the water wouldn’t drain. So I called and the front desk lady eventually was able to come up and forcibly get it open. I asked for a room where my husband might be able to shower safely. We were transferred to the adjoining room which was handicap available. The sink in the bathroom where we had our cosmetics and personal hygiene. items the next morning I was feeling uncomfortable and pulled back the covers and there were other bugs swarming the area and they were on me when I reported it. They said they would transfer us to yet another room. No, we are in our 80s and had to change rooms that often to get a decent room. And nothing much about that. Stay was good. On the third night, a dog was barking in the next room from about midnight until 3 AM. All in all it was extremely unsatisfactory and based on our experience, I cannot recommend this motel. KATHY FAORO I hope to be reimbursed for this stay .

The coffee machine is for capsules, but they put coffee in sachets. You can't use it. They didn't even put in a sugar remover. Everything else is fine.

When we were given the room and went in, it smelled terrible. We thought it was the air conditioning, but the smell persisted. We asked to be moved to another room. They changed us, but it was the same, and we decided to stay because it was already late. At breakfast time, there was no coffee or orange juice when we arrived. We asked the front desk for it, but they never brought it, so we decided to eat somewhere else, even though I had paid for breakfast to be included. Terrible hotel — I do not recommend staying there.

We were recently traveling with our dog and needed a place to stay for the night. For only $20 extra we were able to have our dog stay with us. The room looked and smelled very clean. In the morning the breakfast has a mix of hot and cold. I really liked the waffles. The hotel’s proximity to restaurants and shopping was also very convenient. The air conditioner was very loud but kept the room cool and the bed was comfortable.

So I've been customer of La Quinta on multiple occasions and I've always had a great stay. Here at your St Augustine location left me sad and let down that this was far less of what I expected. Upon arrival I was shock the overgrown grass and lack of landscaping to the property dirty and rundown would be an appropriate description. Another letdown was the breakfast served in the morning. Sausage and eggs everyday where everywhere else they alternated Sausage then bacon there was no bacon. The coffee ran out one day and as I attempted to peak around the corner to let the person know i was approached by an older woman heavyset and walked with a cane that i cannot go in there in an stern tone almost mean. I said the coffee is empty and went on to toast my bagel. The toaster had toast in it so i removed it, "with tongs" thinking someone forgot it. The lady employee with the cane asked if that was my bagel and I said yes then she replied its ready with a huff picked up the toast that was done a.proceeded to throw it in the garbage and toast 2 new sliced. This I found sad and wasteful. I also questioned in my mind should she be feeding herself during cutomer breakfast traffic. Anyway the pool was ok but seemed a bit old and run down. Our room wasn't anything to right home about. The carpet had a musty odor the shower had very little pressure and the toilet flushed slow with no power not to mention i felt like i was sitting on the floor. Definitely in all my worst experience
