We have stayed at the redroof plus in st Augustine multiple times but this last time was awful. The floors were filthy and hadn't been mopped in ages, there were cockroaches everywhere inside, ants in the room, there was something on the blanket that only my dog could smell and he was going nuts trying to lick it......gross. they have gone downhill so much that we will never stay here again and we have stayed there at least 10 times prior. They no longer serve breakfast either.

Definitely time to do some painting, the toilet is the smallest I've ever seen for an adult and the water pressure for the shower left much to be desired. Overall cleanliness was good and the beds were comfortable enough. Check in and check out staff were friendly, no issues there. It's definitely an older Motel, but there has been some updates made.

The room itself was nice. I was satisfied with the staff and everything the hotel offered. Unfortunately, on the first night, I had neighbors in the adjacent room who were noisy and played a radio until the early hours of the next morning. On the second night, I was awakened by a motorcycle with loud exhaust pipes that made 3 runs in front of my room at about 5 am in the morning. I wore earplugs to bed on both nights so it helped a little, but it was not very quiet.

This hotel had German roaches on the wall. There is dog poop all around the grounds. The beds are hard and the pillows are tiny. I would not recomend this hotel.

The property is an older hotel. They do their best to update it and keep it clean, but it is still older. It’s great for the rate, but I would not really recommend for a family. Staff was exceptionally nice, and helpful.

As previously mentioned in an earlier review of my trip, I am a woman of some age driving alone with my dog from the north back to Florida. Did two night 'on the road'------both at Red Roof Inns. Was happy in St. Augustine..... Very nice reception on check-in; very nice lady when we ck'ed out. Room was very pleasant and clean; liked having a fridge and microwave; had the TV channels I wanted; not noisy; felt safe. What else can I say?? Have stayed at Red Roofs going and coming for years. I appreciate them understanding that MANY of our pets are not as destructive as children and, sadly, many adults, do not pee/poop on the floor, and are simply happy to be with us without having us pay an outrageous bill for 'nothing'. I love Red Roof! Thank you for not being an outrageously greedy place to stay when we travel with out pets.

Toilet wasnt clean. There was hair still in the shower and also on the removable shower chair. The floors were also dirty. Had to use one of the towel beside the bed so i could wipe my feet before getting in bed. I did not complain at the time because it was already so late when we checked in. I just wanted to shower and go to bed. The bed was comfortable. Maybe the housekeeper was having a crap day when it was cleaned. You never know.
