The area of La Verkin is conveniently located between the entrance to Zion National Park and the Kolbob hiking area. There was a market, a Dollar General, gas stations, and a variety of eating areas nearby.
The Ramada is an economical choice if you're looking to save money, but the hotel is in desperate need of some love and care. I imagine the price will increase if it does receive these updates. Some simple changes, like using better cleaners for the restroom, and replacing old rusty coffee trays are quick changes the hotel should consider. The mattress was sinking on one side, so we did not have the best night sleep. But we were mostly hiking the trails on our trip, so we spent most of our time outside of our room.
The service and staff were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was substantial (muffins, yogurt, toast, bagels, coffee). If you want to save some money, this is a good option.
